Well, I am sorry to say it has come to the time to end this AAR.

I started this to show myself how to play the game, show the community what and how a Newbie handles the game, and to learn how to do an AAR. I can say I have succeeded in three of these. That and IRL issues mean I need to hold off for a while.

As I stated I had read and looked a lot of things up, but this was my first game and I made so many mistakes, because it was my first game and I did not understand.

1) At the beginning of the game I was unused to movement and miss clicked causing some units to move that I wouldn’t have wanted to move. I still do not understand why the “undo move” button did not work

2)I never used my artillery. I really did not understand how to use it. I just put it on my front lines and used it like any other unit. Until the last couple of turns I did not use it to bombard.

3)I did not use Local or Tactical Reserve. I did not understand it really, did not think about it, but once I started using it, I see how powerful it can be for defending. I think this would have helped me a lot.

4) I did not use the dig-in command until later in the game.

5)I did not understand how units cut off from supply worked. I figured that once a unit was cut off for a turn or two, they would wither and die or be so debilitated that they would be completely ineffective. Because of this I did not concern myself with enemy units in my rear and this caused me no end of trouble.

Hopefully I will soon be able to post more AAR's.

It was a fun and rough ride and you learned from it, so it's been a good game.
