That worked out okay. The Tomahawks could have been launched a little earlier, but a lot of them got through. The F-18Cs in SEAD mode did a lot of damage.

The Rebels do not learn. I moved the patrol area for the Tomcats closer to the coast and the Rebels sent out three Fulcrums to take on the F-14s flying CAP. The Tomcats engaged and destroyed all three at long range.
I then pushed the patrol zone farther out as some AD missiles were spotted. All in all, a good 30 minutes for the good guys!

Strike done. Lost two planes but the Tomahawks managed to get some hits.

Yeah it's a bit tricky as a designer to make the enemy more responsive and adaptable. It can be done but many scenarios (including many of mine) have an enemy that can get predictable.

Mike, you can avoid the variable losses list issue if you open the Game=>Scoring submenu istead of the Game=>Losses one, and then you click in the "Losses & Expenditures" tag in the new window.
Unlike the other one, this list is ordered on the basis of the first casuality suffered for each type of unit; and it remains static along all the game.

Bart,
I can understand the challenge of developing scenarios.
Anacalagon,
That is very helpful. Thanks for the suggestion.

That was lots of fun.
I think that the Rebels are trying something with some Floggers. I need to watch for them.

Seems like you have then on their last legs, congrats for a work well done.
The unresponsive batteries are probably due to either their fire control radars being blasted by a HARM, or just having run out of munitions along the day.
Either way they are probably out of the fight, still is good idea keeping an eye on them, just in case.
