1.04F testing thread. The big red one

Post by Journier »

1.04F 12/30 release

Bugs
1) still odd graphical glitch when pressing enter key on password box in multiplayer window, repeatable. minor issue.

2) can still disband aircraft without pressing ALT key.

3) planes above an HQ still do not receive resupply when pressing the HQ truck button. (design choice??)

4) still can deploy units for germany in warsaw/lodz in 1939 scenario.

5) rail repair by krasnodar when no land link doesnt occur now with new changes as of 12/30. need a land linkup from rostov to get rail to repair. ALMOST.

Bugs fixed

1) air resupply exploit bug -FIXED
2) air units sharing same operation points after redeploy after being overrun- FIXED
3) ghosting ships/ corps fixed mostly confirmed - FIXED.
4) undo bug - FIXED
5) switch positions across lakes/ sea's FIXED
6) Sevastopol losing all supply during winter. FIXED
7)costs of soviet armor and build time fixed- FIXED
8) soviet aircraft fighters and bombers are meant to be cheap. DESIGN CHOICE

Crap I forgot the A/C disband. I knew I forgot something.

I forgot the air too with supply trucks.

Good job.

Also alvaro, is sevastopol supposed to lose supply completely in winter months? i remember it happening before but never this bad i guess?

Image
its almost like the lvl 9 port is non functional during winter but its not frozen? currently losing my units, and retreating off the peninsula due to no supply reaching my units after winter.

I fixed this now. I had to change some rail to road on the other side of the straight to simulate the port better.

The supply system I had to make some compromises that favored logic over what might be a decision point for supply. So I moved the decision point to map organization.

Ill be putting up new scenarios shortly.

another thing i was wondering is, are the soviets supposed to only have a .50% economy growth? when compared to other major powers its quite anemic. thanks.

If they are neutral it will be below 1x based on their status.

In the 1941 scenario it starts at 1.27x

So does this mean any scenario started with 1.04F the Crimea is basically not defensible?

correct sorta, for a few months of the year it goes unsupplied completely if you lose your rail connection. in 1.04F initial release, however its now fixed in scenario files. around 2pm today?

We will have this bug in our game. We missed the fix. Is it just blizzard that stops the supply or all bad weather?

I believe once the port froze in around late november with blizzards it occurred, suddenly had to ditch the peninsula. it is fixed now for sure running a test game with it. a game rule of no winter offensive on the peninsula will make your game fine, if it gets that far.

Yes I think that will work.

BTW thanks for doing all the testing you have. I appreciate it, as just person who wants to play rather than test.

Alvaro, we have another issue with pricing of units now,

Russian aircraft are way off now, air superiority are only 180 cost, and ground attack are only 180, price should be 250 to match rest of nations.

tactical air groups are also off, at only 220 cost instead of 300 for Russia only.

this is latest 1.04F release. thanks

Soviet aircraft costs have *always* been lower than other nations, with the sole exception of strategic bombers. Those you pay full boat. 400 production just like the others.

I brought this up weeks ago and assumed this was working as intended because I got no response.
