Hi AdmiralYamato,

I've been just told that everything should be working for you now under the new user name and that the old one should no longer be active or work and to no longer use it.

Let me know if this resolves it for you,
Hubert

Hello Hubert,

Still no "Tournament" button for me to access the game with Chemi Cagi. I have deleted the SC3.ini file several times to clear out the old data. It allows me to relog into the PBEM system with my new username AdmiralYamoto but it does not show me any tournament games. When I open up the SC3 file it shows me that it has remembered my username and has the correct password. My PBEM page still shows my old username as AdmiralYamamoto in the upper right hand corner. There must still be some strange hard coding in this game somewhere.

Hello Hubert,
I was knocked out by Coronachan for over 2 weeks and way behind on my turns but i am winning one game decisively and the other game is in stalemate mode, will i still be declared a loser if i cannot win in the next 1 week?
Regards.

Hi Doug,

The game reads the name from the server so it must be that the server has AdmiralYamamoto in place on its end and not AdmiralYamoto.

I'm guessing the confusion in the fix was that you had the name AdmiralYamamoto as well as AdmiralYamoto. This might not have been realized and they picked the wrong one to apply.

I'll contact them again for this but it might not be that we hear back until next week as it is a holiday weekend, Easter weekend in the UK, until Tuesday.

Sincerely sorry to hear that and very glad to hear you are feeling better.

For the tournament, if the game has progressed far enough, a map score will be applied if the game is not fully completed with whomever is winning at that point applied as the winner. If not, then whomever has returned the most turns will be applied the winner with a BYE score of 75 out of a 100 applied.

Hello Hubert,

I have gotten the tournament games to work using the AdmiralYamamoto username. Let's stick with it. I would prefer to use this username anyway. I will see about getting the help desk to fixed some other issues. Thanks.

So, in my France game, my opponent is down to holding KOLN and a few cities with just 1 HQ, 3 divisions, 2 detachments, 1 Cav, 2 planes and 1 artillery all dug around KOLN, still German morale is 40% or more. This is quite ludicrous. My supply is so bad i cannot blast KOLN open from last 2 turns.

Shouldn't German morale be much much lower for losing all those Elsab-Lothringen and Saarland areas?
For liberating Alsace, French gained a measly 1% extra morale, but for BEF 5%.

Sirs, where is my 2nd round opponent for the SC WW1 tournament? Please understand that the delay in me getting started on round one was your companies fault for giving me an improper login to the PBEM system. It took the Help Desk along with Matrix and Slitherine administrators 4 weeks to straighten this out enough so that I could play. It is still messed up though because I have two usernames. One is AdmiralYamoto which gets me access to the forums and the other is AdmiralYamamoto to which the tournament directors finally transferred me so that I could at least play a couple of weeks.

I see that one player has a round 2 bye that I would be happy to meet. Now that I can play under AdmiralYamamoto I can guarantee that this round will play to the conclusion (if my opponent takes his turns). Please see what you can do for me. Thanks.

Hi AdmiralYamamoto,

Unfortunately on our end we have little control over the server and especiallyhow the tournament pairings are set as I believe it is all automated.

Your best bet here would be to contact Matrix support to see if they can help sort it out for you, hopefully they can.

What happens if my opponent hasn't even made his first turn yet? are points still split evenly?

You should end up then with the BYE points of 75 in this case for this game.

If I just wanted to join this tournament for Round #3 is that possible? If so, is there an estimate of when it will start?

Unfortunately joining a tournament after it has started is not possible. There should be another one after this one concludes, just not sure when it will start to be honest, but it will be announced similar to the last one once the sign up page is opened up.

Hmm, my opponent badly slow down playing frequency ... we will be not in time [:(] It's a pity, it is a nice scenario ...

Hello Hubert,

My opponent has yet to put in a single turn, yet on the tournament page, it indicates that we both have 0 points. Could you rectify this? I believe I should be getting the BYE score for both games.

Same case with me too. My opponent hasn't put a single turn in as CP and played just 1 turn as Entente.

Hi ThisEndUp,

Sorry to hear this and if you've put in your first turn for the one game it should show an equivalent of the BYE score of 75. If this is not the case please confirm and I'll ask to have the tournament and server controllers look into it for us here.

Hubert

Sorry to hear about this as well and I see that you have the 75 points for the one game showing, and you should also receive the BYE score on the other game as well once the round ends.
