Flanker Leader,

You still havent loss the game!!! Maybe its time to focus the campaign for 1942.
Simply withdraw in blizzard, dont face the soviets and prepare for further operations. Remember that there is no blizzard attrition in the west so use the full rail points every turn ;)

Anyway, maybe you still have a chance to knock Moscow and the soviet power. It will be at least 3 turns of snow before blizzard arrive. If he didnt transfer the factories...

Just an ideas

Actually I have a winter plan, but it's more to see in my own eyes exactly how the blizzard bug works, since this is my very first German winter (my first 2 German games i made moscow by Sept 31). K62 said he would not attack with more than 1 army corps per German korps, so that's my small hope. But, i'm sure it won't prevent mass shattering through 12 straight blizzard turns so I know that could be the end anyways! Gotta find out the hard way, though...

But why see how blizzard works? If the soviets are really strong is better withdraw, even 8 hexes away, preserve the german army sending all units you can to the west, and avoid all fighting!!! The soviets gains many experience in the winter but if he doesnt find nothing to fight you will not face guards divisions in 41.

In 1942 the germans can still win if they have an army.

Just my opinion

We will not give up this important piece of our Motherland without a fight! Shock Armies have been organized in the area  and reinforcements are sent from the Leningrad front, which is not under immediate threat. Death to the Fascist invaders!

In the center seems the attack against Vyazma is near... Gomel have been taken.

The probing attacks against Kharkov failed. However, this time will go there with more men.

Recon units from 11th Army have captured Stalino.

Attack of the Vampires!
Part VI

The bloodsucking Nazi hordes have taken Demyansk! All the valiant effort to defend that city was in vain :( What will become of Mother Russia? :( To arms, comrades, let us perish with glory!

The renowned writer and activist Dolores Ibarruri is with us during these days of harsh struggle. She has written a pamphlet to be distributed to any misguided volunteers drafted in the Fascist ranks. It is called "Viva la Revolucion Roja!" :p

Death to the bloodsuckers! :D

The supply lines in Demyansk have been secured now. The panzers are ready for the assigned objectives.

Some presence of the VVS in this sector.

Vyazma, Bryanks and Zaporophe has fallen  But in the Kharkov the tenacious soviet resistance avorted any attempt to take the city. Anyway, the future dead soviet army is isolated.

The infantry, along the front, are advancing speedly to the front lines to support the attack of the panzers.

The Soviet State will take proper care of these poor dumb disoriented spech-challenged tools of global capitalism! Special instructors are being sent to Siberia. As soon as these Spaniards face reality and give themselves up, they will be taught sign language :D Long live the generous leadership of the Party!

Panzers from AGS have arrived to the south flank of the Moscow defences. Now they are threating Tula.

Turn 9.

The infantry from AGN are closing the lines through Leningrad as the schwerpunkt of this front is on Demyansk. The combined movements of units from 4th Pz Army and 3rd Pz Army has trapped several soviet armies in the mountains of this sector. However, the soviet resistance are becoming toughest and the line are very thin.

Probing attacks around Vyazma by now. AGC are waiting the reinforcements the Fuhrer has promise to Guderian . In fact the recon units of 1st Pz Army just attacked Tula this week to enlarge the danger over Moscow defences. Operation Typhoon is near ready.

In the South the panzers from 11th Army are recovering meanwhile the infantry are advancing to the front lines. Next stop, Rostov...

Losses from start :

afv: 1420 / 6960

Turn 10.

PANIC,PANIC in the Soviet Army... The pressure over the Demyansk sector have been a success as the entire Red Army defending the north of the sector are withdrawing

Leningrad has fallen.

The pocket of Demyansk is secured now. 5 soviet armies with around 20 divisions have been trapped. 3 of them have surrendered by the time of this report.

In Center the things are very different. We must pay here many blood to advance across the heavliy soviet defences. Anyway, the german spearheads are 4 hexes away of Moscow.

The pressure over the flanks of soviets, in Tula, are increasing as more units from 1st Pz Army are arriving to the sector.

Voronezh in sight of german troops. Begin the attacks against the outer defences of Rostov under command of 11th Army.

Losses since start :

Axis/USSR

sq:5065 / 33166

The Red Army is withdrawing in order from the untenable position at Leningrad. The troops will be used to reinforce the Moscow defences. It will be interesting to see if the city will fall in the 5 turns before the rains. In case it does, I've begun digging in on new lines before Gorki. I have more than 50,000 squads now and German tank losses have been quite heavy. So I guess there's a decent chance of holding out until the blizzard. Long live Stalin

If you press Alt+R while playing, WiR generates a report file in the wir directory on your disc. In this file, your total numbers are listed.
The file is named SoDayMonthYear or GeDayMonthYear, depending which side you play. German report from 6.7.1941 would be Ge060741.txt .

The advance is more difficult every turn on the Moscow Front but nothing can be do it

Tikhvin in the north has fallen as soviets abandoned his positions.

The Demyansk pocket has been destroyed. Rzhev and Tula have fallen. The german spearheads are now 2 hexes from the Red Capital.

In the south the infantry arrives at the gates of Voronezh and the battles around Rostov are by now inconclusive.

Losses since start :

sq: 6252 / 38162
