quick question on TB display

Post by overkill01 »

When expanding for example ground on the status screen, what does the percentage next to combat type mean ?
See screenshot for an example from 1st turn.

For example:

Ground total CV is 45.44, that is 77% of the targetCV (68).

Artillery (10% ??????? ) - 3.69CV targetCV 6.66

I thought I knew, but after I reviewed, my answer made no sense.

Arty will add 10% from the Ground base value to the total strength in TB (36.98x0.1 = 3.698). And currently you have in that particular TB arty with CV 6.66. So you can basically move out around 2/5 of arty and still will get the max bonus.

Good to know. I always forget the method used to figure that one out and send too much or too little. I am now dangerous.

Okay, I think I understand. Correct me if i'm wrong, following the example above.

- For arty, the 10% in brackets is a fixed value ?
- So that value (10%for arty) is some kind of representation of what the theater needs ?
- in the example, there is a shortage of engineers ? it needs 2.95 ?

Yes, probably can be changed in editor but never tried.

No, the representation what theater needs is 68(in this case). You will be good having just divisions there if they sum up to 68. Arty, eng, fighters, flak, etc. is "bonus" CV(as I understand it).

Yes, 2.95 but its not a need. You can go without adding any, but if you do enough it will add another 2.42 to the total CV in TB(currently 52.44). As you have only 77% it will help.

Thanks for clarification 821Bobo
An additional column with maximum CV that affects TB would be useful. So players do not have to calculate base * percents and compare it with current CV.

Thank you for taking the time to answer 821Bobo.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.

- If I count all actuall artillery-CV then I get 6.9 and not 6.6 ? Are there any other known factors that influence this CV ?

- So every CV above the set % (10% for arty) is wasted ?

This can be due to the rounding down(?)

Yes. But for instance FlaK is needed in both so shuffling needs to be done with caution [:)]
