tcarusil wrote: Tue Mar 01, 2022 5:56 pm I am confused by the "unread post" blue bubble. After I have viewed all posts in a topic the bubble color does not change and it appears that there are "unread posts". Also, I see a red file folder looking icon before posts saying unread, even after I have read the post. Am I doing something wrong, or do I just not understand what is being conveyed. Thank you for your assistance.

I've asked this before and there have been guesses but no real answer yet. Hope you have better luck getting one.
Same here. I have even written a post with a picture that shows the effect that you describe, but nobody has given yet an answer.

I'm seeing avatars, could you give an example (screenshot) of the issue?

I am unable to post any uploads to update to scenarios I am working on for Command. I NEVER had an issue uploading on the old forum but I do now. Every time I try to upload the system dumps me out. They are less than 10MB, I just checked, but won't post.

EDIT: I managed to post using the AVAST Browser. This is unsat, Why am I bring dumped in all other browsers??? Again, this wasn't an issue before.
Just so we know, which other browsers did you try and is there anything unusual in terms of your browser security/blocking settings or add-ons? Did you get any kind of error when the upload failed?
Boy I'd love to tell you any of this is consistent BUT IT ISN'T.

1. Tonight your system wasn't recognizing my password and I had to reset it AGAIN, this is about the fifth time!

2. The last night I Could use AVAST but tonight it would not let me long in, but I could on Firefox. I have NEVER been able to log in from Chrome or Edge. Now I do use AVAST antivitus as that is what my IT guys want me to use. So right now I am logged into with Firefox with a new password, who know what tomorrow will bring. And I bet if I try I will not be able to post an upload from Firefox because it wouldn't let me do that at nay point when I got in through that browser. Very frustrating!

Yes, as I thought, I tried to load the Kyiv, 2022 zip that loaded successfully yesterday using the AVAST browser and it just dumped me to the log on and then wouldn't let me log back in. I had to close the browser and reopen it. Today I can't log in using AVAST.

EDIT: So I tried again and now it lets me in using AVAST and I posted two scenarios. Ten minutes ago it didn't let me in. Again, this is very frustrating!

Still no word on what happened to the private messages?

Erik:

When a user clicks on an attached .zip file, the file is no longer shown in a pop up, it is only offered as a download. Previously (before 1 day or 2 ago) the zip file would open in a pop up, then you could click on a .txt file inside the zip and that would also open in a pop up. Being able to do that is way more convenient than being forced to download the file before opening it.

Likewise, even though .txt files can now be attached directly (thank you!), they cannot be viewed in a pop up, only downloaded.

Nothing horrible, just less convenient. I'm hoping that might be just selecting a different configuration option to change?

Can someone explain, step by step, the process to imbed an image? It's not intuitively obvious to this old fart.

I have installed campaign vietnam and find when I try to put the fire cursor on the target it causes the map to move and the cursor to move. As a result I can't make a direct fire attack. FRUSTRATED

Options - Scrolling - Screen Edge

That will fix the issue.

Is there any plan to restore the missing private messages we had stored before the transition?

Thanks.

I am just adding my experience of the Read/Unread status not working - click the link, says all are marked read, still have blue unread bubbles everywehere which makes knowing what is new and old very confusing, of course.

Blue and grey mean nothing as far as I can tell, it's the red icon which means unread.

Grey is unread. Blue is clicked on but not double clicked. White is read. These are my observations....GP

I'm not so sure. This what I see if I mouse over a gray and a blue one.

On the SC:WIE board (after a refresh) all the icons next to the titles of the topics say 'No unread posts' when hovered over even though some are blue and some are grey. That's confusing, at least to me.
