Sub Warfare:
Multiple sub attacks this turn as my subs attempt to pick off the fleeing allied shipping south of Lunga. I-7 fires a pair of torpedoes but misses xAP Camphuys. Then the allies get on the scoreboard with some ASW against RO-65, heavily damaging the sub. But to return the favor, while trying to escape, RO-65 puts two torpedoes into xAP William McArthur sinking her and whatever troops she was carrying - looks like engineers according to the report !!
China:
There is a bit of an air battle over the empty hex between Changsha and Changteh as Zeros and Warhawks fight it out. Unfortuntely for some reason in most of the air attacks against my bombers, my cap shows on the report but did not take part in the battle... Not sure if they felt it was beneath them or what. But this cost me about a dozen bombers.
The bombers still did some damage, but two Chinese units made it to Changteh in time for my Shock attack. The attack failed with high losses on both sides (over 2000 each). I have ordered the troops there to stand down and try to recover some squads and allow the supply train to catch up.
My arty bombardment at Changsha reported another 270 Chinese casualties. I am taking a chance and ordered an attack at Changsha. I don't think it will succeed, but am wondering what fort level and such is there so I can plan accordingly.
I just noticed last turn that my new upgraded TOE Brigades are almost fully air mobile except for their 15cm Howitzers. This will make moving them around a bit easier. I have been airlifting one into Milne Bay for a couple days now. Next up will be Shortlands.
India:
I have been doing some recon of Indian bases - nothing else to use the recon planes for - and have noticed the 3 bases northwest of Calcutta seem to be all empty of enemy troops and within airlift range. Trying to decide if it would be worth it to airdrop into those to see how Nomad reacts...

The crippled sub, RO-65 is caught by another allied PF and sunk
China:
My folly.. I attacked at Changsha and got my butt whooped. 35k losses to 1500 losses for the enemy. My Brigades got crushed. Luckily I didn't lose any units. I am pulling the Brigades back to Wuchang for some rebuilding.
My artillery attack at Changteh reports 172 enemy losses.
My CVs should return to Truk this turn to refuel and rearm and take on new planes / pilots. Not sure what is next for them yet. Though the 6/42 upgrade is looming over my head.

Solomons:
The Allied DS has returned and strikes at Rabaul catching an LSD TF unloading troops at Rabaul. Luckily all the troops were unloaded and just supply was left on the ships. Not that worried about loosing supplies, but those LSDs are very valuable. Two LSDs are hit with bombs, one left burning.
The next wave came in and hit the port sinking an LSD, and I-22 which was in port pumping out water after being heavily damaged earlier. The PB in port was also sunk while trying to repair enough damage to make it to Truk.
China:
Artillery attack at Changteh reports only 20 enemy casualties.
Artillery attack at Changsha reports 252 enemy casualties.
The Chinese made an attack at Changsha, hoping to push my troops out after that horrible attack last turn but my men dug deep into their foxholes and resisted. 5625 IJA losses compared to 8181 Chinese losses.
I am moving the depleted units out of Changsha back to Wuchang for recovery and moving in two fresh divisions to hold the line.

An air raid on Lunga port yields no hits.
The Allied DS moves right up next to Rabaul and continues its onslaught. The turn starts with a sweep of Rabaul - 30 Wildcats run into 21 Zeros - I moved the Zeroes up higher and it seemed to work as they mauled the Wildcats. Then the air strikes began sinking 2 LSDs and crippling a DD. Another strike caught a fleeing PB and sunk it as well. The attack on Rabaul port did nothing but cost the allies some Martlet fighters and a dozen Dauntless.
China:
My artillery attack at Changteh reports 42 enemy losses.
My artillery attack at Changsha reports 255 enemy losses.
I have combed Japan for extra units to pull out - finding a full division and two Infantry Groups. These will be bought out, have their toe upgraded and most likely shipped off to China. I am moving two more divisions from Kwangtung into China as well - but that will be it for a while as that will drop my garrison down to around 8500 and thats a bit close for me.

I-16 stumbled across an allied TF on its way to drop off a midget sub at Sydney and put a torpedo into an xAK which sunk afterwards. Unfortunately the TF escort damaged I-16 as well.

Spotting some ships in the harbor at Kirakira I ordered my Betties to attempt to hit them during a night attack. They failed. Half of them got lost, and the rest didn't hit anything. Then I looked at the moonlight and it was at 3% no wonder.
Allied TF bombarded Rennell Island again inflicting 100 casualties. Not much left of that half a Naval Guard.
I swept Tulagi with Zeros from Shortlands and came up about even in the losses. Doesn't seem worth it to be honest.

I am starting some air strikes at troops at Changsha, but not getting much traction there - probably because the bomb loads are so low and the forts are so high. But they should still be increasing fatigue and disruption.
My artillery attack at Changsha reports 145 enemy casualties.
Solomons:
The allied DS is spotted moving north along the west coast of the solomons again. So my ships have been told to flee away just in case it comes up to Rabaul again. If he does, he'll have to pass through several patrolling subs, so maybe I'll get lucky.
I am considering moving some of my invaluable CD units into the Solomons. Thinking one at Shortlands for sure and possibly at Woodlark Island as well. Problem with Woodlark is going to be if Shortlands falls, then Woodlark and Milne Bay will be easily cut off so I don't want to put too much there that I cannot airlift out.
SRA:
The three brigades slotted for the initial defense of the SRA are unloading at Babeldaob. Once they get a little rest and I decide exactly where to put them, they will begin shipping out to their final homes.
Truk:
I got my first 75-size army air unit a couple turns ago and it is now at Truk training pilots. Once they are sufficiently trained, they will move to Rabaul. I am hoping to have enough Tojos to fill the entire unit before it moves - right now I have it split into 3 25-size units; 2 with Oscars and 1 with Tojo IIcs. I am building Tojo IIas and hope to have enough to replace the Oscars - that should be a bit of surprise against his Wildcats.

Dutch sub O23 gets two chances against one of my TFs in the Straights of Malacca somehow and manages to hit the AO Kyokuto Maru with a torpedo. This is a 10k hauler so I'm hoping she'll make it back to Singapore for repairs. Luckily she was outbound and empty when attacked.

My AO makes it to Singapore for repairs !! I really like those 10k tankers/oilers and I hate losing any of them. I have pulled the two PBs I have on ASW duties in the Malacca Straight out and assigned two DDs to the duty - hoping they can do a better job of discouraging those Dutch subs from lingering in there.
Solomons:
Two subs just laid some mines at Woodlark on the off chance Nomad is planning to invade it very soon. The allied DS is still a couple hexes away, with another TF with it and at least one other TF is nearby. The one TF was within range of my Betties from Rabaul, but as expected they did not fly - even with escort assigned. They will fly eventually, I hope.

Allied DS is still near Woodlark but has moved a hex east. I count at least 4 TFs in the area, but cannot get good intel on the ship types for some reason despite having lots of search -- storms are in the area and really hampering me. My Betties did NOT fly again despite two TFs within range. I do not know why I have such trouble getting Betties/Nells to attack - the range is over 8 hexes, they are set to 10% search per unit yet they still won't go. I changed the zero's HQ to match the bombers so maybe that will help.

Nothing much happened this turn except the allied DS moved across the Solomons to the eastern side in an attempt to try to catch my CVs sneaking in again to hit his shipping in the southern Solomons - to be honest I thought about trying it again, but I was waiting for the damage on all CVs to be repaired at Truk and that just happened last turn.
So it seems Nomad is trying to catch my CVs in another fight which is obviously to his advantage right now. I got 5 CVs and 2 CVLs in my new KB. Once I have enough Zeros built up again, the second CVL will become a pure fighter platform.
I am still airlifting troops into Woodlark and if he keeps his CVs away I can start using small xAKLs and Fast Transport TFs again. I need to build up troops and supplies at my forward bases: Milne Bay, Woodlark Island and Shortlands while I can. All three bases are frantically building forts for the eventual invasions. I am also moving some Val units from Japan down here to surprise him.

Oil Report:
I have finally repaired all the oil I control on the map !! I believe this is probably the first time I have ever done that. Right now I am losing around 1200 oil a day due to refining more than we produce but I am liking it - though I am having trouble hauling the stored up fuel and oil from all the bases. I am concentrating on Palembang and trying to work that down as much as possible and just keeping it in Singapore for the most part. I am sending some TFs to Soerabaja, Tarakan and Balikpapan as I can to haul away the fuel / oil there. Miri and Brunei are serviced by four 8k ships and we're almost keeping up there.
South Pacific:
