Sub Warfare:
So I was slowly moving the cripple Murasame from Ramree Island to Rangoon as she was not repairing anything at the dot base and I had no means of helping her there. Unfortunately she came across a dutch sub who put two torpedoes into her sending her to the bottom. I would have scuttled her, but the option was not there for some reason.
South Pacific:
Two TFs bombard Kavieng in preparation of troops coming ashore. After the amphibs land some troops intel shows only 500 troops landed -- that can't be right - Unless he thinks I have only a few men left with no supply. Both of those are wrong. Now the supplies are in the red, but both units there have some supply so they have at least one fight in them. if I had more supply I would attack.

As KB was heading to refuel, re-arm and get more planes / pilots its accompanying surface combat TF headed back south to Wewak. The TF was not spotted so she sprinted forward to the allied air base at Long Island to bombard. At Long Island we ran into a small cargo TF consisting of 2 SCs and 4 xAKLs. They were sunk quickly and with no damaged received. Those SCs really explode when hit by a 20cm shell.
After sinking those six ships we bombarded the airbase. Unfortunately we only destroyed 1 P-40, but damaged over 60 other aircraft.

Sorry for the lack of updates - been a busy holiday weekend - and with the Matrix site being down Saturday that did not help. But I am back with an update and will continue.
As expected the past ten turns or so have been very slow - the same old, same old - me moving men and supplies around guessing where Nomad will invade next, while he grinds my troops to dust with bombers in the South Pacific.
South Pacific:
This past turn (the 20th) was no different. His bombers hit my troops on New Britain (4th Inf Div) and west of Milne Bay (9th GEACPS Brigade) inflicting minor losses on both.
I have suspended air lift operations as my planes get some badly needed maintenance. I am also moving some more supply to the airlift base as that is slowing repairs - base is in the red for supplies. I am still using 1000ton PBs in Fast Transport TFs to pick up troops from Aitape and move them back to the Marianas where they are reorganizing.
Nomad has picked off two of my little cargo TFs running resources from Nauru Island to Truk with a pair of DDs. They have sunk 2 PBs and 4 xAKs. I don't want to give up the 100k resources sitting at Nauru but I may have to as most of my surface combat assets have pulled out of the South Pacific.
An allied attack at Namatani is repulsed but we took more losses than they did. I expect that base to fall in 1 or 2 more attacks.

Allied TF bombard Namatanai while more troops come ashore.
Bombers hit my troops west of Milne Bay and troops on New Britain.
Bombers also hit troops at Namatanai in preparation of their attacks. The attack came and inflicted decent losses on my troops as well as capturing Namatanai. Looks like the new troops are the 11th NZ Brigade.

For some unknown reason a lone allied AM sails near Truk and is sunk by Vals. Not sure if it was an accident this ship was sent here, or just a test to see if anyone was home.

Well I snuck another surface combat TF up into Burma and showed up at Akyab. I didn't catch any ships there, but I did get a good bombardment of the base - and got away without a problem. CA Mogami took a single shell to the engineering spaces and has 2 sys and 2 eng damage, but everything else is fine. Looks like the British have two Divisions at Akyab along with some Coastal Artillery.

With the resources on Hokkaido exhausted I am redirecting my TFs to Sakhalin Island and the 2 Million resources there. Unfortunately one the TFs ran over SS Whale and an xAK took a torpedo hit. She should make it to Toyahara unless we get a bad die roll.
South Pacific:
Less bombings of my troops this turn - I think the weather is working for me for once.
But another attack at Namatanai hammers my troops there - another 700 lost. Allies got 469 to 1 odds -- not sure how much longer the fragment there will survive.
