I tried opening the save file and hitting next turn, and the issue is now resolved. I sent an email for completeness, but it is no longer an active bug! I last played on 10/19/2022, so it must have been fixed in the past month. (I always play the steam open beta version)
The town and units were assigned to the newly created HQ. I have used this strategy many times before, read up on the forums again when it happened, and tried quite hard to figure this out in game before realizing it was a bug. Now I can go back and finish out that campaign. Thanks!

Game crashes when clicking "Strat". I started the game a couple of days ago on the Open Beta

Edit: Tried again from the strategem tab, but crashed when playing the stratagem

Confirmed. Clicking on Strat for militia unit caused crash for me.

I just streamed a game using 1.12h and there were a couple of issues (and some suggestions):
- Started a game at Tech 4 Hard mode on a planet without water and the ice mine wasn't built.
- Had a Leader who had no profile preferences (may be WAD but I haven't seen this before).
- Suggestion to use commas in thousands rather than periods.

On 1.12g3

When you open the raise formation screen with 'raise with OHQ ticked' it shows page 1/1 even if there are more pages. Should show 1/2 or 1/3 etc. When you go to the second page the menu updates and shows the correct page numbers.

Right now it always shows the correct page number for 'independent' (1/3) but I remember looking for my new recon plane and being confused as it showed only 1/1 and it was listed on the second page (which I thought was not there obv), so might only show incorrectly when there are two pages as my independent list has 3 pages now
Will look back in auto saves to check. => [Edit: With Independent on 2 pages it shows the same behaviour as described above]

Also a suggestion:
It would be amazing if it was possible to set what the traffic signs are for per connection instead of per hex (rail/road/pull)
I find myself regularly wanting this option when organising my logistics network.

[MATRIX BETA: DLC disabled by version "i" update followed by crash on load]

I find an odd result after the update to version "i" from version "h", so I tested this twice by backing off and reapplying:

1. A dialog box appears indicating I don't have the DLC.
2. The screen image shows the pre-DLC image (not the ship at the dock).
3. Does not matter if it's a new or saved game.
4. Eventual crash to desktop on the "ZIPPING.................".
5. Issues go away if I revert to version "h".

Version "h" runs fine, and the game seems much improved on version "h". Keep up the good work!

If you are part of the Oceania BETA please use the special version compiled for you. Please go to the Oceania beta forums over here:

Trying to load an Oceania generated savefile in the Core SE version will result in a message and quiting of the application.

However trying to start a new game should work... could you retry that before installing the Oceania v1.12i ?

On 1.12j

- Alien regime's zone turned into zone 'none' so stratagem cards which require a zone as target cannot be played (i.e. spy cards). Cards which target the regime still work normally. (Petheris territory in save)

- Cult priest stratagems disappear from Docile AI Sentinels turn after they are played. They work normally on the GR Gladius. (Attached some priests to sentinels in save)

Thanks for feedback.

The Zone thingy is on the to-do list. Will get to this.. if significant part of original Zone left I should avoid this from happening. (there is a secret hex that is the zone center; if taken zone dissapears)

As for the Unit Feats... 1 (sentinel) subformation can only have 1 unit feat :) there is a cap.
