Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
I did make that decision for Commonwealth by destroying the ships in Aden. I'm fine with Vichy being hostile. Thanks for pointing that out though.

New Turn
Allies win the initiative, and go first. (Axis 5, Allies 10)
And fine weather.

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
What does the CW do to get Vichy hostile at creation? I do not remember this being possible, and would like to avoid doing it accidentally.
I thought I knew how to play this game....
Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
CW destroyed a few French ships that were based in Aden.
Cut from RAC:
The same player moves any French controlled units in hexes controlled by an Allied major power. French
controlled naval units rebase at double their range, and French controlled land and air units are moved to the nearest
Vichy France or Free-French hex.Alternatively, an Allied major power can destroy every French controlled unit in its territory. If it does so, Vichy France is hostile to that major power (see 17.5).

Oh. Thank you. I had forgotten that rule. It seems to me like a very bad decision.

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
Certainly won't be the last one...
Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
The strange thing about this rule is, that in reality the British captured the ships and they were later transferred to Free France. But this is difficult to do in WiF, because that would give the French player the possibility to sail all French ships to CW ports.Courtenay wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 4:21 am Oh. Thank you. And there are players around, who simply don't care about Vichy becoming hostile to the Allies. Why? I don't know...

Naval for Commonwealth.
One search:
To provide better information for support decision, the below screenshots show what's in East and West Med for Commonwealth. West med has 15 combat factors of surface ships only, whereas the East Med has two carriers included and 21 combat factors.
Will the Axis fly support in Italian Coast?

USSR Occupies Eastern Poland. A US entry chit is removed, but fortunately for the Allies it was the 0 value marker!

Axis major powers just finished a conference on how to proceed. Major events had recently occurred that affected things. Although, after a lengthy discussion, the previous, old, plan remains in action, and the conclusion was: All enemies must surrender, or be forced to surrender.

Impulse #2 (Axis)
The Polish HQI may provide HQ support to either of the two attacks in Poland.
In the north the current odds is 28:4, or 7:1 blitz.
In the north the current odds is 32:4, or 8:1 +1 blitz. Automatic even with HQ support.
Will Poland attempt to provide any HQ support?

Had missed that the CW LND3 in Denmark could fly support in Poland. Germany has one FTr3 that can counter.
Will CW fly their bomber to either attack?
Edit: No air support declared.
