The Japs captured Johar Bharu yesterday but they don't have a lot of AV there so I doubt that they will enter Singapore anytime soon. I think I may have another week yet.

The Japs landed another half a dozen transports at Manado yesterday and unloaded some more troops and now I'm seriously outnumbered but I have 2 guns and 3 AFV's and the Japs don't so I'm not sure how it will go down from here. I may be able to hold out for a couple of days.

The Japs landed at Aitape last night and it's unoccupied so they will own it by this time tomorrow. They will probably land further to the NW along the entire north coast of Dutch New Guinea. As well as a probe toward Port Moresby at the very least.

This is what Luganville looks like now. I moved in about a week ago and it's only now getting some supplies but it still has no fuel at all. I need to fix that; also I need to move some aircraft there as soon as it has an airfield. And they are going to need 10K+ supplies to expand the facilities so there's more to do for this base.

The Japs landed at Nauru Island last night and as you can see my defenders there are no match for the enemy troops already landed. The Japs will own this Island shortly. There's a lot of RES coming out of Nauru and Ocean and I need to post some subs around this area to pick off the Jap transports that come here to harvest the goodies.

Here's a situation you don't see every day. TF474 is a CL and an HDML coming from somewhere to Cape Town and the smaller ship doesn't have quite enough fuel to make it all the way there and there's no button to do an enroute refueling of the ships. Will it really make it to the base in two days?

That TF _should_ be ok, as TF off map don't use fuel. I gather you are moving Enterprise to CT to withdraw. FYI, you could have withdrawn Enterprise from Columbo. You can withdraw ships from Columbo, Sydney, CT, San Francisco, Any size 9 west coast USA port, and, supposedly, any allied size nine port west of Columbo. I understand that the documentation for the last says east of Columbo, but that is incorrect. I personally have never had occasion to try to withdraw from a size 9 west of Columbo short of CT, but all the rest of them work.

You have misread the situation a bit bobsteele. The HDML is out of fuel so it is coming from on-map to off-map (CT). But you are right he does not need to worry - the bigger ship will automatically refuel it - no button pushing required. He could push the "Refuel at Sea" button/hypertext and get it to do that right away, but it is not necessary.

You don't need 10k+ to build up the infrastructure, only to build or repair industry like resources, oil, refineries, repair shipyards, other shipyards, factories and so on. To build or repair the port, airfield, and forts you just need engineers in combat mode with supplies.

At least one Jap CV attacked Wake all of a sudden and a lot of my ships got sunk and I've got a carrier group east of Wake with it's AO TF and I think I need to retreat with both of them. At least until I know what the Japs have at hand.

Here's how Singapore is doing right now. The tool tip that you get when you hover over the green dot just below the anchor gives a very large list of Allied units there and it wouldn't fit in the image but the summary at the bottom is there and will give a rough idea of the strength of the units. I've since changed the building of forts to 'on' instead of 'off'. But there's only 20 supply there so I doubt any headway will be made on the forts.

Since you are at essentially 0 supply, once the units have used up their internal supply they will fight at 1/4 AV.

This is how the troops look. They are disorged and tired and lots of them are essentially out of supply. I've gone through them and rebuilt all the units I could. Several of them have units that enter through Aden in a future turn. I've got the replacements and upgrades turned off because they are all expendable.

I count 5 torp hits and 15 bomb hits on stationary ships. That looks like what you would expect from one carrier's worth of Vals and Kates. Your CVs are only 9 hexes from the Japanese - within Jake search range. Do they have any DL on your carriers? If not, I would be tempted to make a 3 or 4 hex dash toward that enemy CV, have night search up to find them and set up a morning search and strike. This is because the AI does not do a good job of setting traps like KB following a CVL (Ryujo) and having just the CVL strike at juicy sitting ducks. It would more likely throw everything at Wake if it had more nearby.

EDIT: Subsequent combat reports show you retreated and that carrier struck twice more at Wake Island - AF attack. It will be running low on sorties and probably only stay one more day. Now's the time to take it down!
