The good news is that CMO is still clearly wanted, so much that this situation is creating some kind of withdrawal symptoms :D

Going back, all the way to 1328.9 is just to reintroduce new frustrations in game play for me and my micro-manage style…

Finally you could not go back to the steam legacy/beta version?

I'm pretty computer illiterate. So I didn't try that. I'm going to shut Steam down so it won't update me when I don't want to anymore and go back to a fresh install from disc. It's just that when I was looking back at which version of frustrating bugs to go back to, I couldn't decide and gave up. I almost dug out my ancient 'Fleet Command' disc and installed it. That was rock-bottom for me. I almost cried. LOL.

Yes, the good news is: Some of us still desperately wanna play CMO. The frustration is out of love! ;)

I love Fleet Command too, it was my introduction to modern naval combat.
We're going to get through this rough era.

Heh. Good old Fleet Command: It's liked/loved in relatoion to CMO just as is Nintendo 'Tecmo Bowl' is in the current console Generations of Madden football. Lol.

Thanks for the updates. Makes me feel much better already.

Here is explained for another game, apply it in CMO, and steam will do the rest.

Agreed. Great game that piqued my interest into modern naval combat and ultimately what got me into CMNAO and CMO.

11th Command User Event (CUE), the gathering of the Command-PE user community, will be held on September 9-13 2024 at the X-Corp facility at Quantico, VA

https://command.matrixgames.com/?p=5700

Deadline for the patch? Or the PE of the game is different?

No, this is unrelated to the next CMO update.

We hope to have some good news on the latter soon.

OK, thanks.

I was assuming the PE shared some of the same problems, etc. And you wanted it in perfect shape for the CUE.

Waiting for the patch news :)

Coming up on four months this weekend since the beta .18.

Any ability to say its days, weeks, months, years away would be appreciated by your customers.

Don't quote me, but I think August will probably be a good month.

Thanks for the news :)

Will it be promoted to official patch directly? Or some beta rounds first?

It will probably get some public hammering before it goes official.

It has been most of the year since the game was really enjoyable the way I play it, ie. heavily dependent on missions etc to make the computer side capable, and in large scenarios those missions are a much needed "staff officer" for the human as well.

The old editions being made available were a help, but most of those versions that came out this year had a bunch of issues, the reason that patches kept coming every couple of weeks earlier this year was that each of them introduced giant bugs.

I'm very much hoping that something happens soon here. Several of my friends play with the Pro edition, and say that those bugs are not present in it, so it seems there probably IS a fix.

The new update is currently undergoing private testing. We hope to be able to resume public updates later this month.

We are all anxiously awaiting the new update for our heart simulator. Like all of us, I also have half-finished scripts, scripts of other players, etc. But please all of us, be patient until the next version of the simulator. I'm sure the development team is working feverishly while some of us are on summer break.

Give us some food :)

What about a pre-list of changes and fixes?

Is there even some stuff added?
