No sound

There's no sound in game.

• In game options the sound and music are ticked.

• WMP is installed, enabled.

The game shows up at the volume mixer, it is at the maximum level, the output device is the default like the same for anything else.

Windows Media player is the only installed player, default for mp3 is set for that, sound files play from the games folder.

Disabling sound and enabling again in game doesn't fix it.

Rechecked all files with steam, everything validated.

Restarted the game multiple times, ran as administrator, still doesn't work.

Checked the log files, nothing is written there for sound related stuff.

That's a really strange case.

Do you have any other audio-related application running at the same time? (e.g. Nahimic)
