Let us now concentrate on Naval Battles

Post by Admiral Delabroglio »

Hello

Testing some naval battles, I found some strange behaviors.

1- France was in a naval battle against the ottoman Empire in the 1800 scenario. The Ottomans managed to capture a French ship, then the battle ended, and lo ! the captured former French ship turned into a British one. That's pretty generous of the Ottomans to give England their naval prize. Shoudn't that ship remain an Ottoman one (or possibly destroyed), instead of being teleported from the Estern Med to London for refitting. I suspect it would be the same for a ship captured by Russia.

2- Another naval battle. The British managed to capture a French ship, then retreated. The disabled British ship were captured by France, but the disabled former French ship remained in British hands. Shoudn't the victor of a naval battle, if his enemy decides to withdraw, get all the disabled ships from the two sides, thus recovering all the disabled ships that have changed sides (not in the case of the natural end of the battle without any retreat, though).

3- One again, battle in the Eastern Med between a French and the Turkish fleet, during the Allied player's turn. The French were getting the upper hand in the battle. The Ottomans retreated to Constantinopolis, and got out again with repaired ships. Maybe a fleet that has decided to retread should be locked for the remainder of the active player's turn, or maybe it should require a new activation to use it. I don't know whether it is the case now.

"Rule Galli-a, Galli-a rule the waves, Frenchmen never never shall be slaves !"

Best regards

Well, I am sorry that you ran into a couple of problems. I will look into these, of course. These do seem to be errors that need to be corrected.
