Sub War
The I-7, patrolling a few hexes east of recently acquired Johnston Island, spotted a TF with 4 CA and 3 DD. She unsuccessfully launched a couple of torpedoes CA Louisville, then endured a half hearted DC attack. I figured they were headed toward Johnston Island and moved a few more subs into the probable return path to Pearl Harbor.

4 Fleet
The TF I spotted was a bombardment TF for Johnston, and it included 3 BB and 4 CA. Ouch. They beat the hell out of Johnston Island. The damage to the facilities was severe at 63/28/59. I have 3 units there and the damage to them turned out to be pretty interesting:
1 Engineer Company: Half (3) of the engineers were destroyed but none of the laborers were even disrupted.

Very high disruption.
9 JNAF Company: A couple AS and 1 infantry squad destroyed with about 25% disabled. Very high disruption.
51 Naval Guard: It was like they weren't there during the bombardment. They took no damage. Yep, they're at 100% with no disruption and 2 fatigue. Really weird.
The forts are at 2.39 and won't be increasing anytime soon. The surviving engineers will repair about 3 damage a day, so it'll take take a couple of months to repair the damage. That's assuming no more visits from the US surface fleet. (Unlikely). I have 100 mines and a midget sub there to add to the defenses. They did nothing.

Also, the ACM and Emily there were untouched.
SE Fleet
The daily sweep of Pt. Moresby netted nothing. No enemy fighters rose.
KB is hanging around Salamaua and launched a large attack (21 Zero, 22 Kates, 29 Vals) against the shipping at Pt. Moresby sinking DD Bulmer and 2 of the 3 xAKs there. Immediately after, I heard sinking sounds which would account for the last xAK. Later, Ted would tell me that the supply runs to Pt. Moresby are getting expensive.
SRA
Malaya
Singapore - 1501(-64) - 559(-54) - A second deliberate attack in as many days. This was 1:1 and reduced the forts to 0. We're getting close. Another Allied unit was destroyed. Only bombardment tomorrow to allow the infantry (fatigue in 80s) to rest.
Philippines
Bataan - 1009(+23) - 383(-13) - A deliberate assault goes in tomorrow.
Borneo
Nothing to report.
Sumatra
Medan was liberated today! Unfortunately, there was damage to the infrastructure:
Manpower: 1(1)
Resources: 17(3)
Oil: 175(35) - will be repaired
Refinery: 166(34) - will NOT be repaired
And this closes out the Sumatra campaign. There are still a few units to hunt down and destroy, but the campaign is effectively over. I control all of the bases.
The 144 IR will reembark on xAPs and head to Rangoon where it will combine with its sister units and form 55 Division.
Java
Continued to chew on the Dutch remnants. There are a lot of them, so it'll take some time.
Burma
Quiet day here today. I think Ted is resting the RAF.
China
Maneuvering.
