Is this because, if you wanted to set up a large number (dozens or hundreds) of missions, each with their own refueling points, you would use a LUA script to generate each individual mission? Or is it because you simply feel no need to set up such large and complex scenarios, and are therefore happy to do everything by hand? I'm usure as to the extent to which LUA is the standard way of setting up scenarios in the CMO community, and whether I'm simply "doing it wrong" by trying to do complex things with the scenario editor without using LUA.

Also tagging you because I assume a guy with 15,000 posts on this forum can answer the above question!

On the contrary. I do use ASuW ground patrols a lot and only seldom strike missions. I prefer not to micromanage at all. Also my lua skills are laughable :P and as a result I dont use it. So to answer your question, I do set up missions & operations manually. So far it has worked for me relatively well.

With your scenario, I wanted to demonstrate that one could set up a refuel operation and imbed it in the flight path of a ASuW patrol. I simply did not bother to see what happens next after all bombers have refueled successfully. Nikel noticed that they enter into an infinite patrol loop until they run out of fuel and I took a look. I had a theory about what causes the behaviour which I shared on the tech subforum for the devs to assess.

Yeah, that was also the approach which I tried first.
