Awesome, was looking for something like this! Also, if it's okay with you I could post a map (with the road network on it) I was working on before I saw this.

With the help of Google Gemini, I found a way to show the Corps Positions as on overlay on the Planning Map you kindly created. It works slighly differently from the version created by Niedowidek_slith below. I'm not sure how useful people will find it but it's there to have a look at
Most people these days prefer a graphical interface so with that in mind I've developed this version.
Instead of creating folders etc, you now just link to the relevant files in the Commanders Report. You still need Python and a few of its libraries, also Inkscape, and you will need the Planning Map above.
It will produce:
Operational "Cloud" Overlays: Automatically draws colour-coded boundary shapes (Convex Hulls) around your Corps to show exactly what territory each command occupies.
Live HQ Command Monitoring: Reads leader data to calculate specific command limits (usually 9 or 10 units). It displays a live counter (e.g., 11/9) under each HQ that turns Bright Red if you are over-stacked.
Asset Highlighting:
FBD Units: Marks all Rail Repair units in Fuschia so you can instantly track your logistical reach.
Unattached Units: Highlights combat units not assigned to a Corps in Red so you don't leave anyone behind.
Sub-Unit Tethers: Draws dashed yellow lines from divisions back to their parent HQ to visualize command distance.
Surgical Filtering: Allows you to filter the map by Army Group, Army, or Individual Corps to clear out the "clutter" and focus on specific sectors.
Customizable Visuals: Integrated sliders let you change cloud transparency, border thickness, text size, and icon scales in real-time.
Professional Output: Generates a high-resolution SVG and automatically opens it in Inkscape for a perfect, print-ready screenshot, via the Inkscape Export function
Full instructions are in the attached pdf document and the Python script is included in a zipped up version.
Please give me some feedback on how it is working for you. I've only tested it with Axis so I don't know how it will work with Soviet side. If you're playing that, perhaps you could let me know?
