Function:ScenEdit_SpecialMessage (0) Error:Unable to identify Side-A!
This appears in the lua history file just after the first message.

Again after the 2nd message.

Exception: [string "CachedChunk"]:10: attempt to call a nil value (global 'ScenEdit_SetUnitSensor')
Stack Trace: at NLua.Lua.ThrowExceptionFromError(Int32 oldTop)
at NLua.Lua.CallFunction(Object function, Object[] args, Type[] returnTypes)

at Command_Core.LuaUtility.DoString_Optimized(Lua lua, String chunk, String chunkName)
at Command_Core.Lua.LuaSandBox.RunScript(String str, Boolean RunInteractively, String script, String fullPath)

This error is printed when the first hour is ending, not sure what is causing it. Both in 1817 and in 1776.

Edit: apparently happens when a Zirkon impacts a NASAMS III near Andoya base, related with its sensor?

Coincides when the Ford group is being attacked by Kitchen D missiles.

The scoring mechanism is broken. Only the events are giving points.

No survivors either.

Tnks.

This value was unnecessary and wasn't working; I'll correct it immediately and take the opportunity to move high-value units to non-border bases.

Thanks Correcaminos.

There are 2 Sachsen now, one of them could be renamed to Hamburg or Hessen according to the wikipedia article of the class.

For running, the kilometers I ran this afternoon . It was time for a tough training session today. :D
Being in the editor is my relaxation time. Well, this was easy to fix. Nikel, I haven't seen those LUA crashes you reported earlier; I don't understand it. I've checked ALL the LUA files with VSCODE using the Blu3es database for CMO and I don't see any syntax errors. I also refreshed the game's memory before saving the game as version V3.1 before uploading it. If something like this happens again, I'll need confirmation from someone else, or we'll have to report it to technical support. Let's get on with this small hotfix.

Uploaded now.

CHANGELOG V3.1:
Naval Scoring: Created Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 ship groups for scoring.

LUA Engine: Fixed script syntax error to restore scoring functionality.

Unit ID: Renamed one Sachsen-class frigate to Hessen.

Asset Relocation: High-value units (Tankers and P-8A Poseidon) relocated to non-border bases.

An anti-ship battery was relocated closer to the coast in Tromsø (it was somewhat far from the coast and was losing effective range).

Why isn't it happening to me? Do you have an option enabled in your game settings that activates it? If not, we'll have to ask.

I do not know, I thought it was that the civilian side was not blind.

Knightpawn, are you playing this scenario'? Anyone else?

v3.1

This time the subs crossing appeared earlier, still nearly 12 h were left. So decided not to continue. I do not know how to stop this thing happening :? More Poseidons?

Also because the F-35s were not obeying orders, a bug in B1776 I guess.

This time the Ford was also hit, but still could navigate at flank and the runway was operational, so she was still a carrier. Only the Álvaro de Bazán survived with her.

Yasen-M not found in the hours played, Nakhimov and russian surface fleet sunk as usual.

Some other issues.

- The Finnish Pojahnmaa corvettes are not prepared for this scenario, they become not operational due lack of fuel very early (if they survive of course). They seem to be coastal ships.

- There are some Poseidons in Bodo AB in ferry, useless, they should be ASW.

- The SeaGuardians in the Glasgow and the Daring cannot take off. probably this contributed to the failure of the ASW operations in the GIUK gap.

- The scoring worked this time, however it is favoring the russian side too much:

02-12-2027 11:35: Score changed from -20250 to -23250. Reason: Asset Lost: F 219 Sachsen [Type F124] (-3000 pts)

02-12-2027 13:18: Score changed from -29250 to -28450. Reason: Enemy Asset Destroyed: BPK Marshal Shaposhnikov Udaloy I [Pr.1155 Fregat] (+800 pts)

- Also regarding the scoring, for the same platform, it may be different:

02-12-2027 16:06: Score changed from -16750 to -16850. Reason: Asset Lost: Typhoon FGR.4 (-100 pts)

02-12-2027 16:17: Score changed from -16850 to -17350. Reason: Asset Lost: Typhoon FGR.4 (-500 pts)

This is what is said in the manual:

but neutral traffic should be set to “Blind” to reduce CPU stress. (See 5.4.4 Add/Edit Sides on page .)
If a side is included just for environment (fishing boats, merchants) you’ve set their awareness level to blind to minimize unnecessary sensor calculations.

That's exactly how I configured it. You can verify it from the editor/SIDE/CIVILIAN. You can verify that they are in BLIND.

Minor problems, let's wait for more opinions this time. There are 5 operational P8s, 2 in Iceland and 3 in Bodø, plus several MQ9B drones specializing in ASW, carrying many sonobuoys, and ASW helicopters from the aircraft carriers. I think that's enough to protect the GIUK, right? Regarding the scoring, I'm going to lower it by -1000 for Tier 1, -500 for Tier 2, and -300 for Tier 3. And based on that, I'll recalculate the rest of the units. Simple. I'll be more generic about the EF unit. I think otherwise it's almost finished.

OK, I cheated and continued from a previous save, just to know what happens at the end.

- Subs trying to cross destroyed.

- Yasen-M sunk, very difficult even knowing where it is :?

- Many installations in Kola peninsula destroyed. This can be done without cheating, the 2 faulty B1-Bs can be loaded with the equivalent anti-land LR missiles. There is time for this, the last 4 h. The Tomahawks from the subs also helped.

- Tu-22s bombers destroyed on the ground and in the air.

And still it ended in a disaster, due to the scoring favoring the russian side by huge amounts. Note that the initial russian rampage will leave you beyond -30000 points.

I also expected a victory message if all the objectives are accomplished: sinking the Nakhimov and the Yasen-M, avoiding the crossing to the Atlantic of russian subs and avoiding the sinking of your own carriers.

In the last hours there are also some messages like this. I guess for this reason could destroy the bombers and the land installations easily.

On 3.1:
I'm currently in the midst of the initial barrage having set up all my zones/missions etc. and I'm getting penalties for russians sinking civilian ships when missiles continued past a destroyed target. Otherwise nothing major besides the MQ-9Bs not being able to take off (I just added 3 extra to the Q.E) and a couple loadouts missing from P-8s. I'll continue it tomorrow and let you know any further feedback I have. I am liking that there are more enemy surface ships scattered around now.

As of yet I'm not sure how Nikel keeps losing ships from the Ford CSG, they *shouldn't* know where it is if you adhere to EMCON ;)

What I do is to activate OECM, launch all the ACs to defend and run away :)

However the barrage starts too soon and you cannot escape too much distance.

I have just tested the beginning switching to the russian side, doing nothing, just watching, and they know where you are when the barrage start and the group defends, the carrier ended sunk.

The Bear knows.

Nikel, do you have the full log so I can see the score for this graph? It would help me a lot to balance it.
