Usual Elo rules.
Taifun (Allies) defeats Aquavita (Axis).

The German forces are unable to defeat the French. France survives with its entire fleet. Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria did not join the Axis. There is no Barbarossa. Germany finds itself without economic survival options in the autumn of 1941. Chinese forces are pushing back the Japanese in China. I proposed ending the game in the autumn of 1941, as the Axis had no options.

hasmat_slith (Axis) vs Taifun (Allies)

Standard 12 ELO rules apply along w/Amphibious Transport research cap of 3
Taifun (Allies) defeats hasmat_slith (as Axis) september 1941

German panzers attacked the USSR in April 1941, surprising the Soviet defenses in the middle of their deployment. Panzer forces crossed the Dnieper River and threatened Stalingrad, Rostov, and Voronezh.
Meanwhile, Japanese forces stalled in China, halting their offensive in the south and center of the country. The Japanese army attacked the Soviets in Vladivostok in April 1941, and this greatly increased the activation of the USA. By September 1941, the USA entered the war, and a surprised Japan was not ready to launch its offensive in the Pacific and Asia.

New ELO game started
1939 World at War

petedalby (Allies) vs LoneRunner (Axis)
Axis resign in Nov '44.

Loads of pressure from the start. Moscow & Kubyshev taken. China down to Urumchi. Perm taken in Oct '44 but Russia refused to cave and Perm was retaken. Allied forces pressing in from all sides and the outcome no longer in doubt.

Bill is a great guy to play - regular turns & excellent comms. He's a bit ring rusty after 3 years away but the moves are all still there.

Still no website for the rankings sorry (soon!).

Allies have now won 62% of matches after 36 games.

Looks like quite a lot of games will finish in April. Next update on May 4.
