I expected Vukovar to be a brutal fight—and it was—but what really caught me off guard was how quickly everything collapsed once the supply lines were cut. Up until that point, the resistance felt stubborn, almost immovable. Every block seemed contested, every push forward hard-earned. It gave the impression that the defenders could hold out far longer.

But the moment their supplies were effectively severed, the entire situation changed almost overnight. The same positions that had been fiercely defended started to give way, and the cohesion of the defense seemed to unravel much faster than I anticipated. It wasn’t just a gradual weakening—it felt sudden and dramatic, like the backbone of the defense had been snapped

I'm just speechless lol you think they could have held out a little longer at least.

But anyways we GOT THE CITY are combat power has Spiked from 60% Shock to 80% This is a massive boost we will no longer struggle we will be able to really start attacking more next month we are ahead of operations

I also want to compliment you on your AAR. Mixing in historical photographs with the game action gives the AAR a realistic feel not found in the usual AARs. Good work.
If you can, I would like to see a few more of the large scale 2d Tiny maps (with Hex Grid turned off) as posted on February 21st. The large scale really helps to give context to the close-up views.

Best Regards, RhinoBones

why just stop here in Serbia when I can try for some more land grabs

So below we are planning a offensive to take the towns of Vinkovci, Tenja, and Otok as well as some more land

we had to disband two tank units since where running low of some older tanks like the T-34s almost all is used up but not all units used T-34 so it will not hurt to disband the 2 that do

We have been Halted here no way we are going to take the City of Sisak thankfully we took Petrinja so not mad at all I Seriously Unsterestimated Secessionist Forces there more Units then I expected here we are going over to the Defense forever I'm planning to build 2 lines being dug in as well as having enough units in the first line we can afford it we got a lot of units here

Pushing more would just be dumb are units have almost no health so time to stop rest and wait for whenever he attacks

The Siege of Dubrovnik is ongoing he can't lift his troops out of the city he tried that they got killed

we have are warships surrounded all exits in and out of the Harbour so there is no escape we will take the city soonish since its just Police officers holing the town sucks to suck honestly

I think he forgot he has Naval Guns so there hasn't been any shelling of my ships either way this is a huge win for us we protect are southern flank from any surprise in the rear

Turn 27 December 14th 1991

Well we got some big gains this turn so lets go over them

We have Split the area in two of course they can still use the bridges and ferry's but we cut them off and we are unlikely to finish them off

we have taken the town of Maslenica so where doing pretty good health and supplies wise but are supplies are low and not topped off since the terrain really sucks in this map besides in Serbia we are still going move Regardless if we have supply level 2 or 1

I would like to take the next town below too even if is just 1 VP still good to have towns. Since taking towns with VPs is a big hit for both sides so you want to defend towns too the death if you can or try to delay them and retake it either way it's not good to lose them

Turn 29 December 21st 1991

So me and my Opponent are doing 1 Turn a day yes I know it sounds crazy but at least the AAR will be moving fast (Still have to Write it out of course)

Anyway The city of Dubrovnik has Fallen after a Brutal Assault I pushed my troops North I'm just know realizing how outnumber I am in terms of Units in all fronts it's not looking very good thankfully we have the Training and Equipment so Im not nervous or anything

So i decided on not moving anymore north I don't see the Point of Taking the Peninsula It will just leave us overextend I can't cover the whole area just don't have enough guys for it so we are going to Halt here too for good and Dig in, Might send some guys north not sure yet

That's one thing that I don't Like, I can't send some units I don't need to another area because I can't remove them from the HQ and attach it to another

I pushed him back I would love to Encircle him but eh I don't think I'm going pull it off the way my units supplies are at

Anyway we took Jasenice granting us 1+ VP its still at a Draw for us but that's Fine I don't care if i win or lose the Game If we had fun that's what matters

there has been 0 pushes from either Side along the front lines. Just from these 2 areas that are hot at the moment, I'm still Building up for a push in Serbia otherwise there's not much to report this turn

Its Cold here!

Turn 30 December 24th 1991

Its Christmas Eve good time of the year But I was on the Naughty list this year The Secessionist decided to Launch a Offensive Near Drnis and Push my guys back thankfully I was Dug in behind so he couldn't Push further and Further Attempts were Repulsed I don't want Coal for Christmas this year

So My guys are definitely up for the task of Blunting a Secessionist Offensive. But how will it be once his army is a REAL army is the question that's leaving me up at Night I don't want find out

Turn 31 December 28th 1991

We are a few Days From 1992 and Cease fire Is soon so let's once again launch a Offensive in Serbia

here you can see we have "Finished" getting ready I have it in Quotation Marks because we are far from ready with only some units at full health but we are going ahead and do it anyway

I wanted to Push to take the city of Vinkovci but I found 2 areas that where thinly Manned so I attacked from the sides and pushed back the Secessionist holing the Hex I feel Happy about this its going well we Also made a unit Envelop so even better for us

I tried to attack Otok and we got stopped right at are tracks we the city is out of are hands for the time being will try again maybe next week

Turn 32 December 31st 1991

Are Offensive Continous In Karjina and Serbia so lets show Karjina First here we have pushed him back into the Forest area hopefully we can take some so we can get better defense for later once his offensive arrives

I wish we had Pushed more harder in this area and went all the way too Zaddar or Benkova but its whatever cant complete all of my goals at least I got 90% of them Done so I'm Happy

This offensive wasn't as hurting as I thought some battles just 1 Squad would get lost like seriously lol

So we tried to take Vinkovci but we where repulsed So I'm thinking lets stop here too and go over too the Defense Dont want him pushing us into Serbia once his offensive starts lets save are squads and are replacements I feel like we got enough space.

Not sure what I was thinking trying to push further after Vukovar anyway there is 2 Units from Secessionist up north that are cut off due too a river so we will take them out next turn I circled them Yellow

Its time to start thinking Long Term About Defense

we do not have a big fleet so Im not going use them anymore might just get rid of them or idk what to do yet but they serve no use anymore
