Interactions with the AI - how are they now?

Post by PaulAllen1982 »

Hello all,
somewhat revisiting a post I made some time ago here when there was some discussion around the AI interacting with the player in DW2 vs in DW:U:
https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?t=405833

I can recall in DW:U, AI factions would often contact me to ask me to remove ships from their space if one of my.scouts has wandered too close.

It would also blockade my planets sometimes without a war declaration, that you could then negotiate your way out of without war breaking out if you wanted to.
It was great to have this type of activity along with small skirmishes without full on warfare being necessary.

The AI would send fleets to help you in battles sometimes and ask for help if under attack.

Overall it felt quite communicative which added a lot to the immersion of the game.

Now that some time has passed since the original post above, what are your thoughts on how the AI engages with the player in DW2 when compared to DW:U?
