T94 13May42: I've picked out a couple of places that are significant for different reasons. In the upper inset I just now closed the supply path for the Soviet units inside it. In the lower inset I'm showing you the seemingly wide open path for my advance. The problem is the muddy terrain. So I think I'll knock those Soviet units off the road and use the road to advance.

T95 I've advanced one of my throw-away units toward Gorky* and I'm not sure but I think it looks empty. Great if it's true. I need Gorky really bad because a lot of Soviet reinforcements spawn there so I can stifle a lot of Soviet units by owning the city. Plus it's a rail terminal.

I've advanced one of my throw-away units onto the railway of the Soviets source of supply. Maybe that will help kill them quicker.

The Soviets have built a fortress just north of Gagra. I'm amassing enough forces to bull my way through there but it's going to cost me a lot of losses and there's no other way to do it. I'll bombard it for a few turns to soften it up but I can't sail my boats that far so that's not an option.

This is a T95 view of the Saransk area right now. I have just now pushed the 98th Inf Division way forward with the aim of shutting off the supply path of the Soviet units. It's not threatened yet but my next turns will determine how far it gets.

This is a T97 view of the front lines right now before anybody has moved.

In inset 1 is a view of just south of Murmansk and shows the singular Soviet defender. I have an HQ unit ( embarked ) to apply some arty fire to the Soviet unit to soften him up a little. I'm going to rail up here some infantry to tackle the Soviet engineer. I'm hoping that my arty will unentrench the defender.

In inset 2 I continue to fight over the river crossings and I've captured most of it and in my immediate future turns I expect to disappear the remnants of the Soviet defense. The Soviet division on the bottom left is a shell of a former infantry unit.

In inset 3 I'm in the process of disappearing the pitiful remnants of a former Soviet roadblock. I'm repairing the rail in the upper left as I go and that hex the embarked Axis unit is in is the further eastmost repaired rail hex so far.

Inset 4 is the location of inset 5's contents. I'm in no hurry in this AO as there's no very valuable objectives in this area.

Inset 6 shows me forcing a river crossing and digesting the Soviet remnants of units I trapped on the wrong side of an impassable river.

Inset 7 shows my next immediate goal as I work my way south along the SW coastal road.

An important battle is going on east of Staritsa right now. I'm hoping to gain the use of the rail line headed SE because I can use it to supply some supply to cities further south. I have no idea what is so important that I'm pushing this far into Russia but I assume it's something good.

Here's what's going on near Mozdok right now. Notice that the rail is repaired all the way to the front. That's the only thing keeping the advance going...the supply. I'm about to push through here.

It's T98 right now and I seem to have captured Gorrky. That's important because the Soviets have lots of reinforceents enter the game from there. Well now they won't. I need to capture all it's adjacent hexes too because Elmer sometimes spawns units in an adjacent hex when the primary hex is full or some other reason.

Hey you guys... I've got shingles. Wish me luck.

This is the Baskunchak area right now. I've arrived at a staging area that is the terminal for different directions for my advance. I'm branching out to the NE, east, and south. I've outflanked the Soviets and cut off the supply for a small Soviet group that needs to be disappeared. I'm running into a lot of Soviet units but they seem to be damaged or tired or worn out in many cases. Like they've already been in combat before they arrive at the front line. Like they just respawned and were moved to the front immediately before being given some time to rest and recover.

T99: North of Gorky there's an intact bridge over the river at Grodets and I just now captured it. I've already started streaming units across it. I'm making a lot of progress in this area lately. The supply level is still good because I'm keeping up with rail repair.

I just captured an intact bridge at Kuybyshev and I've started moving units across the bridge and captured an enemy airfield. This is an excellent way to get into the Soviet backfield because they have units further west that are threatened by rolling up the Soviet front line destroying units as I go. I'll see what I can do.

It's T100 and I captured Murmansk at the end of last turn and that puts the Kaput on the Lend Lease Stuff. I've started parking my tired planes at Moscow only because it's close and has lots of airfields. Now I need to find a R1 HQ to baby sit them. I'm making progress on the southern coastal road down south.

Does look like the war in the east is won. Probably time to consider a belated Sealion and start producing those landing craft for the Americas ;)

Well thank you very much. I'm having a blast putting it together. Glad you like it.

Yes, it looks like the war is all but won. I'm already thinking about what I should do next. Have any ideas? I'm open to almost anything.

This is a T100 view of what's going on in the south in the foothills of the mountains. Although I'm making progress I think it might be better for me to cut off the supply flow to these defenders instead of one frontal attack after another. I've isolated a small group of Soviet units along the coastal road and I'm about to force my way through the remnants of the coastal road roadblock and that will give me access to the road into Iran should I want to give that a try.

This is a T101 view of what's going on at Murmansk right now. There's only a couple of Soviet units left defending. There may be one more near the port just across the bay from Litsa that is so far invisible.

This is how far I am from Arkhangelsk so far. There are some Soviet ships there so I may have to dust off the Stukas to get rid of them. That's the 120 anti-ship strength aircraft I own. I see two ways to get there, one a road headed north and a rail, blocked by some Soviet armour. I'm going to have to take both ways so the Soviets can't escape.
