Yes they do stack, but only to 4 ships for the AR's

for the AV's and AVD's there is no stack limit

In 1941 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Horii down to mighty Singapore
We took a little sushi and we took a little rice
And we caught the bloody British in the town of Kula Lumpar

We fired our guns and the British kept a'runnin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began to runnin' (faster)
On down the Malayan coast to the Gulf of Singapore

We looked down the river and we seed the British run
And there must have been a hundred of 'em beatin' on the drum
They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring (retreat)
We stood and laughed till our ears began to bleed

We fired our guns and the British kept a'runnin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began to runnin' (faster)
On down the Malayan coast to the Gulf of Singapore

Old Horii said we could take 'em by surprise
If we didn't fire our rifles till we looked 'em in the eyes
We held our fire till we seed their faces well
Then we opened up our Ariska guns and gave 'em ..Well....we...

...fired our guns and the British kept a'runnin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began to runnin' (faster)
On down the Malayan coast to the Gulf of Singapore

Yeah they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go
They ran so fast that the tanks couldn't catch 'em
On down the Malayan coast to the Gulf of Singapore

We fired our cannon till the barrel melted down
So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round
We filled his head with cannonballs 'n' powdered his behind
And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind

We fired our guns and the British kept a'runnin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they began to runnin' (faster)
On down the Malayan coast to the Gulf of Singapore

Yeah they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go
They ran so fast that the tanks couldn't catch 'em
On down the Malayan coast to the Gulf of Singapore

It's good to see the rule for conversion of AK's to tenders.

Both sides I hope.

Don't worry. I'm sure the allies can do it too. [;)]

Any chance of you guys in the near future playing one of the "middle years" games? mid 43-44 say... I just can't read again about the poor old Houston or Exeter going down in a blaze of gunfire. or bombs or torp's, or... anyway.....

P.S. can't wait to get my hands on the game

A wonderful new feature came out some time ago that lets you convert AK's into a bunch of different ships as required to deal with shortages. As to running out of AK's to convert, well there is no fix for that [;)]

Great news! How long does a conversion take? What size port does it need to occur?

I think there are only a number of ports that can do them.

Minimun requirements from memory are a size 10 with sufficient ship repair facilities.

As for time, not real sure, but based on historical

Hi, Conversions take 180 days. Japanese ships must be in Osaka and Allied ships must be in San Francisco

hello Mogami and Frag,

Just curious-if you choose the optional opening-do you have to make an attack at PH or can you reassign KB to assist in the quick "blitz" of the SRA?? Seems to me, that the best benefit you derive from the PH strike is destruction of enemy aircraft-from the combat reports (lately) the damage to the ships has not been overly extensive (looks like you did well in this PH attack) so i am again thinking your best bang of your resources would be to have KB supporting your move in the SRA?

Have you found that PH strike is a better opening than the latter (assist in SRA attacks) in your games or playtests?
thanks,
jc

As much as I know, the optional start only works with a historical opening (automatic turn 1 with optional setup on).
I you do turn 1 manually, you have all the options anyhow

Just my opinion but in general it seems that a majority of the recent PH strikes have led to a reduced/minimal number of BB's sunk compared to reality or even an average amount (3 for example). Has anything been tweaked with the PH result as of late?

#1 ... PH has not been tweeked, You guys overreacted because we posted some dream results. [:D]

#2 ... This is a pure!!! out of the box !!! version. Historical, Vary, sub restrictions, etc. This is to quiet down the number of people complaining about the over-speed versions that can be run should Japan take the paper bag off her head and actually have a plan [:D]

#3 (somebody needed to test the historic version - poor me)

#4 with this version, Japan & Allies get to enter NO ORDERS on turn #1 when the special move speed rule is in effect.

#5 This is the VERY FIRST time I have played a serious game as Japan. It is rather cruel to go up against Mogami [X(]
