Things are grim, very grim! I was going to post the total losses but I see it has been done already. No matter what, Tamas has nothing to worry about in this game.

Blizzard

The heroic red army took back Odessa without resistance, and Lenningrad in a big battle. No soviet citizen survived in these big cities, only mass graves were left by the fascist invaders...
The red army soliders were enraged by this acts of cruelty. Despite having nearly no food and fuel, they pulled the guns by themselves to save fuel for the tanks as they ran after the germans. They did caught some germans, but there were no prisoners this time... In the south the red army into a well prepared defense line which stopped our attacks. The Stavka feeling the sky high morale of the troops set out a new goal to be reached before the end of the year: BERLIN!

p.s: Stavka is getting overconfident I think:) The summer will be tough. No more walk in the park against german soliders frozen to skeletons.

Some time get lost unfortunately... In the mudy season there were some big air fights with even losses.

This week our tank armies in the north began the offense for the capturing of the first big german city Konigsberg. A big hole was punched in the german line, and the german 24th and 40th panzer korpses were destroyed. The Luftwaffe has its best forces in the north and they did big damage to our fighters protecting the armored formations of the red army. In the other fronts our forces wait for the new tank armies to be raised in about a month.

The German soldaten launched the final offensive, striking in the south to throw back the Soviet hordes. Although tactical successes were won, a brave Soviet army held out preventing the left wing of the offensive from closing around another Soviet army. Thus, success was really a pyhric victory.

Our tank armies continued to dominate the germans in the north, pushing them back again. Konigsberg was encircled, and hopefully will fall soon. Near Lvov 2 shock armies forced a panzer korps to retreat. In the north Luftwaffe fw's are still dominating the red air force badly.

Our brave panzers struck back in the north at the advancing red hordes, trying to but time for our brave people to run from Prussia. One series of attacks succeeded in destroying a tank army just south of Konigsberg, after air attacks heavily damaged its units (it was out of CAP range). However, other attacks on another set of spearheads were stopped cold with heavy losses, making the Panzertruppen wonder what can be done against the enemy juggernaut.

The stupidity of the red air force commander's who cant count to 7 correctly caused another tragic loss:( It was our worst equipped tank armies, but it still hurts. But we will raise 10 new tank armies in the place of this in 2 weeks! The lost tank army was on a diversion mission last week, and our 2 remaining tank armies closed the trap on 10 infantry and 4 panzer korpses in the Brest-Litovsk area. Strong enemy panzer units tried to stop our KV-1E hordes but they were massacred. New red air force commanders tried very hard to coordinate air cover better this time, to avoid execution. Some germans might escpae as our encirclement has a big hole in it. But at best they will give up huge territories. Königsberg was left by the werhmacht, and we took it. Dont believe german lies about citizens being hurt! Little work (malenkij robot) does not hurt:)

The Luftwaffe struck back with everything it had in the center, striving to open a hole for the trapped units to escape. In a series of bloody battles, control of the air was seized and the enemy airfields bombed. In addition, the Soviet infantry was hit hard. The follow up attacks all succeeded except for the final attack on an isolated tank army which stopped our attack on it.

The red air force has to accept defeat for now, and play a smaller role for some time. In the same time the tank army in supply has freed it's comarades out of their hopeless situation, and in the same time closed the encirclement again on the germans. This time the soviet infantry began the destruction of the cauldron with big succes. More then half of the entrapped germans surrendered. Next week they will be finished off if the mighty Luftwaffe cannot save them. We hope the german panzer forces are crippled for some time in the centre.

The tank armies are rolling again after a long delay:)

This week the soviet army finished off the remaining german units who could not flee fast enough from the encirclement. A once proud panzer korps has bitten the dust:)

In the south we pushed toward Ploesti with mixed results (1 succes and 1 failure). Near Lvov 2 shock army succesfully terrorized a german panzer korps into retreat, altough with high armor losses.

Not more action this week as the red army high command was very busy raising 10 new tank armies:) Next week 7 tank armies will start its offense to liberate Warsaw. If there is no imperialist uprise in Warsaw we should take it in one month (if there is one we might rest a bit until germans beat it down:)).

The new tank armies have been lectured by the german defenders as many attacks were stopped with high armor losses. 2 tank armies in the north are in big trouble as they have no contact with the backup troops... Hopefully they can survive the german counterattacks, if the germans dare one.

Our vaunted by weakened Wehrmacht struck back in the south against the forces driving through southern Poland, throwing a tank army back across the Vistula, I believe. But otherwise, action was limited against the Red hordes pushing into Western Europe.

The red army continued the offense with succes this week. Warsaw was cut off, and 3 german infantry korps were destroyed in the North. Our tank armies occupied stronger bridgeheads this time in the western banks of the Vistula. A german panzer korps and a infantry korps were cut off nort of Lvov, but the soviet encirclement lines are not continous so they will escape.

The soviet offense has continued with some succes. The germans are still putting up heavy resistance in the centre and in the south. The very weak german forces were annihilated in the north and our leading tank army is only 2 hexes away from the Odera. We need to get a bridgehead on its western bank fast before the werhmacht reacts. A panzer and a infantry korps were encircled west of Lvov in the mountains.

Next week the battle for Berlin begins!

Soviet troops crossed the border of mainland Germany for the first time this week. A bridgehead is secured in the east bank of the Odera adjecent to Stettin. Our tankers are seriously out of supply but the sweat taste of revenge keeps them going on and on. The red army is all over the hated enemy now, the massacre continues without mercy.

The germans still fight like cornered animals. They rarely choose captivity over death. Several time they suceed to live another week in isolated cauldrons.Red cross reports about mass german civilian killing by the red army must be dismissed as imperialist lie.
