Yes!

I was gambling that I would be able to get a shot at your aircraft at Tavoy before you could get any real sea-defences set up there. Looks like Tavoy is shut down for the moment, and I will try to keep it that way. I cannot allow you to set up an air operation that close to Rangoon. It was a gamble, but it paid off great with 50 aircraft destroyed or damaged. What really was important was the runway damage though. And almost 1200 casualties for the IJA too...

Score #2 for the Royal Navy (score #1 was Prince of Wales slapping around those Japanese cruisers and battleships at Mersing).

You are most welcome to the western side of the Malaya penninsula. I have lots of supply in place already, and I have no intention of abandoning the PI or Malaya to save some troops for later. If you want those bases, you'll have to pay for them.

Another of Panzer's sub tenders has bit the dust. I have designated them to be my main priority. Find em and sink'em. Without them, he will have to base his subs farther back from the DEI area of operations.

In Malaya, I am getting ready to start my major push. If all goes well within a week he will only control Singapore. Mersing still holds out.

Burma will soon begin to heat up very rapidly. Supplies are building up at Tavoy. I have corrected my mistake at Bangkok. I have spotted shipping at Rangoon. Wether they are dropping off or taking away, I can not tell.

China is about ready to explode. I am almost ready to push off. Hong Kong is still holding out. This is beginning to irritate me to no end. I am going to commit a 2nd Division to take it.

In the PI, I have thrown his 2 divisions back from Lingayan. Naga is still being a pain in the butt and will not fall. Panzer will soon have to make a choice though, hold and die or pull back and fight another day. More forces have arrived in the PI area of operations.

Well, some people like to give up the PI and evacuate as much as they can. I dont like that strategy at all since it gives the japanese player too much "for free".

Every day I tie him down in the PI I am postponing his attack on Java. Same with Malaya. It is very hard for the Japanese player to mount a successful invasion of Java without the troops from PI and/or Malaya.

Some players give up the PI except Bataan or Malaya except Singapore too fast, it makes it very easy for the Japanese player to shut down Singapore and Bataan and just contain the allied player there and starve him out. That frees up alot of Japanese troops to be used elsewhere. I dont want that, I want to force him to focus on PI and Malaya penninsula for as long as possible.

And especially now when he has not been able to even put a dent in the airdefences in Singapore. That is a major problem for him because I still control the sea between Singapore and Borneo.

I think his attack on Mersing was a misstake because it tied up alot of his fleet and some good land units that Im quite sure he would have wanted to use in the PI or NEI right now.

Mersing only has a brigade and eng reg. They were slated at the start for the Malaya Campaign. Now Naga in the PI is pissing me off.
I am supposed to be hammering Manila by now. So is Hong Kong, that is holding me up in China.

I still have plenty of forces to take Java if I so choose. I just do not feel like it.[:'(]

Just wait, when I start hammering away in China and Burma hard and heavy. Of course Northern Australia sure does look inviting this time of year.[:D]

So send the turn already. Darwin awaits.[:D] Or will it be Diamond Head? Or Karachi?
Or Calcutta? So many places and so few troops at the moment.[:@]

But that will soon change, I am feeling kind of evil today.

I think that i will lower the experience levels at Hong Kong a bit in my next version. I have just finished reading a very detailed acount of the battle and the British only had a slightly smaller force, yet hardly slowed the Japanese down.

Not really any need to do that Mike. In my game with Fallshirmjager, Hong Kong fell very quick. Brought me great joy.
This one is just being stubborn. Adds a little flavor not knowing exactly how fast something falls etc. Of course in the game
with Falls, Ambonia is being the stubborn one. Has thrown my whole timetable off in the south.

Now to the AAR.

Nothing has changed, everything is as it was. Not really worth writing up.

Hong Kong fell in about a week in my other game. This one is just being stubborn. Maybe Panzer and Falls are doing something different?

You didnt want to mention that I cut you off in Malaya then? [8D]

Anyway, lets see if I can give you a little surprise again. I think Ive spotted a hole in your defenses. (turn is sent)

Well this turn went much like the previous, no major changes. Panzer will point out that he has moved a unit down and is sitting astride my supply route in Malaya. Does not bother me really, because that unit is between a really big brigade that is fresh and 2 really big divisions. One unit moved into the hex, but it happened to be one of my Engineer regiments. I now know it is not a base force sitting there.

Panzer has moved every B17 he's got into northern Australia or so it seems. So far they are taking whacks at Ambonia. I will take care of that in they upcoming days. After a couple days of nothing, my subs score hits again.
