as I like the chancy stick my neck out type gameply as Zeta knows.

Hi, I am just way too conservative for any plan that I know before I start is going to cost me 1/3 of my fleet. I lose ships in silly fashion all the time but before I get underway I always think the force is large enough to deal with anything I think it might run into.
I admire TR for going up San Juan Hill and I don't know what other choice he had but online stand up charges are not what I plan for.
If WiTP_Dude can pull off an AV I will be amazed. Also I understand he is really conducting a test more then executing a serious plan of his. But I am too squimish to ever try it myself and I don't think it would scare me to encounter this as Allies. In fact I always conduct early Allied operations as if this is Japanese plan. I always assume the Japanese CV are going to be there on the 8th making another strike. I assume the Japanese are going to capture from Midway to Canton. I get the West Coast ready for invasion. If they don't come then it didn't hurt me to be ready.

I search for ways to do damage to the enemy but avoid taking any myself. Of course you can't fight a war and not be hurt from time to time but this plan scares me. Not scares me to face but scares me as in if I was to try to execute it. I don't agree with the spread out take many objectives at once as fast as possible aspect. I think it should be conducted in phases, in mass, at a slower pace. Whats the rush? Bulk of IJN CV run down USN CV or chase them out of area. IJN CVL sitting 600 miles east of PH block reinforcements.
Japan moves engineers to marcus on turn 1 and begins building size 3 port.
Does same at Wake and Midway when they are captured. Once size 3 ports ready with AR, AS, AD ships and Naval HQ bombardments can commence. They have CAP provided from Johnson and Midway and CV.
And in my version I don't plan on holding any of this. It is only important in helping me destroy as much enemy material as I can.

Yes his plan seems to be going real well. So he is really going to try and take Pearl harbor. I have a lot more supply there than he thinks. I bet he thinks I have under 10,000 supply there. He is way off. I still hold the belief that his plans would not have been as good with one day turns. He got to pound me every where on the map for two days with a chance for the allies to do anything, and he knows where almost everything is for those two days. I thoght after those first two days that he would have PH in a month. I think I have done pretty well considering that after the first two days I had no surface fleet on the map that could really do anything any where and my Carriers could not really get out of the way in those two day turns. He has sunk like 8 bb's and Repulse and PoW have 99 and 98 damage each, but are in port in Karachi, and yes he has pounded the West Virgina into a pulp with 98 system damage. The first two days also crippled my sub fleet in the far east. So don't expect much from my subs for a long time, if he did not sink them they have 60 or 70 damage and are going to be repairing for a long time. All my yards are full with many ships, I wish I could send some to the East coast to speed up repair time.

Yes his plan seems to be going real well. So he is really going to try and take Pearl harbor. I have a lot more supply there than he thinks. I bet he thinks I have under 10,000 supply there. He is way off. I still hold the belief that his plans would not have been as good with one day turns.

Check the replay. Not much happened the second day other than the Japanese lost several elite pilots. One day turns would have helped me more because I could have micro managed the various invasion and probably caught the other carrier before it escaped south.

I was able to get around the enemy flank undetected and take Lanchow without much of a fight. This puts the entire Chinese force at Yenan in grave danger of being cutoff and eliminated.

I really haven't paid enough attention to it. I have been worried about PH and such. I guess I will have to put more time into China, but I am not a big fan of ground war. So we will see how it goes.

Sort of. The Chinese did come down and attempt to cut the rail line moving north out of Wuchow. However I was able to beat them back with reserves. Changsa and Ichang have been captured but the Chinese are too strong in the south for me to make a move there yet. Now I expect Yenan, Homan, and Sian to fall within the month since I got around the flanks.

I have feeling you are going to kill me in China. I don't really now any ground warfare moves. I was just trying toi hold Yenen and that opened everything up for him. The chinese don't really have anything in the North if the jpanese really want to take it. May be I can pull some thing off in this area, but maybe not.
