Yeah but Ron *ALSO* lives on the wrong side of the planet[:'(][;)]

Keep yer head down, never volunteer and come back safe...best of luck to you mate.

We also played passed dawn so region is almost meaningless. I mainly work from home too as my bar paperwork is easier here (no "Hey Ron! Open the door, man. Have a drink and tell me about that girl I like...wasshername!" Is there beer in this fridge? Can I have one?..what ya doin'? Cool poster, man!")

Hey! I am not. Still have your first turn but have been swamped with BS at work lately. Been better last few days but "calm before the storm" they say. I want to tidy up this Lemurs mod we're doing then I'm game. You'd need to redo your turn one but with an extra 150+ ships and some extra units for Japan I think ya'd go for it.

Our old game you could not find the right turns and it was the same 1.21 game as the one which Dave and I lost due to Land Combat bugs.

So, give me a week and we can go for it I think.

Whoa, stop your tanks right there. How about some humor, mate? I've noticed you mentionned several times in other threads to be on standby for marching orders, so maybe some folks won't jump for you to start a long campain. The idea not being that you'll get into trouble - I wouldn't wish things like that to no one - but that soon you might no longer have time and infrastructure to send back turns. Didn't want to strike nerves here, and I see no sniping there. If you feel anger, I'm not responsible for your situation, so chose another target, ok? [:-]

Thanks for your offer mate, but Doomedmantis stepped upto the plate........and he is one of the toughest S.O.B IJN players that I know. We are now in late December and there is not one day that he has failed to give me a bitch slapping........roll on '43 for some payback. But thanks for your offer.

English POW Camps in North Africa weren't that better. Both my granfathers have been jailed there. Both my grandmas told me in which conditions(physically and mentally) they came back in 1946. I think there's never been a POW camp that can be called "civil".

VAE VICTIS...never words have been so closo to the truth

Ah but the POW camps for the Italians in Australia were pure heaven........the POWs were often used to work the farms in the local areas and it was not unusual for them to out of the camp without a guard. They simply really enjoyed the country and working on the land and were not regarded as a security threat oir a danger to the local population....infact there are many stories of the locals embracing the Italian POWs.

Just one more point: Jews were not the only "customers" at concentration camps. Political opponents, gipsies, homosexuals and folks picked up by Gestapo ended up in camps as well. Forced labor on hunger rations and torture were not only practised by Japs....

Indeed. But I would even go so far to say that there is not one country or even race for that matter that does not have the capacity to inflict evil on others. History both modern and ancient supports my view.

I agree 100%. It's a tragedy that all humans tend to be too human sometimes. Nice utopian concept Kant produced: Don't do to others what you don't want to be done to you (free translation, English is a foreign language to me, but the message should be there). Should be applied to social behaviour on national and international level, and this planet could be a paradise for all. I wonder if humanity will ever arrive there.....

[:D] How about putting them on ice and wake them again when they're 30? Permanent solution suggested for dealing with international trouble seekers.....
