Ever see the movie "Animal House"?
Belushi: "Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
Frat kid #1: "The Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor."
Frat kid #2: "Shut up, he's on a roll!"
D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

You mean the movie Animal House was not serious about the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor? That was my only history lesson on the subject in public school.

I have WIE by Decision games. IT was programmed from the original SPI game War in Europe as a programming project for college. With that in mind it only has a few bugs, er, design features that are problematic. Computer WIE follows the rules and the programmer did a pretty good job. It is playable only as solo or PBEM and there is nothing that even resembles an AI. Now talking about pricy games... I bought it in '98 for $60![]()
According to Decision Games, a new version of Computer War in Europe is in development and is currrently scheduled to be released in early 2006.

I would say the confusion over the Germans bombing Pearl is due to the revisionist history being taught in the school systems.

We used to use that term at work for really naughty employees[:D] and you know that you had made a name for yourself if our boss put you on DSP, like a badge of honor, and was usually saved for when we pi$$ed off the client. great fun, and see the movie!!!!
