4. Addition of a few floating dry docks - "Dewey" Dock in Manila for sure (pending icon).

What are they for? Just targets?

Hey, TA! Notice the new refits for the US subs? Guns get resighted in some. Maybe some refit fraphics for subs showing new camo, resighted guns, cut down bridge and fairwater etc. That might be fun.[:D]

You got it Ron, refit fraphics [;)] coming up.

How does this sound:

Early Cachalot
Late Cachalot
Early War Perch
Late War Perch
Early Salmon
Late Salmon
Early Tambor
Late Tambor
Early Gato
Mid Gato
Late Gato
Mid Balao
Late Balao
Tench

I figure on the early have the large cons, the mid the smaller cons (fore deck cut down, long aft cigarette deck for 40mm), and on late the skinny cons (Small cigarette decks, 40mm recited to deck), with deck gun mounted aft. Sound good?

I can also do a late war S class while we are at it.

And I agree we need to draw the line. But if we can have a yacht, why not two training boats that historically DID make 6 patrols?

Hey, I don't care if the Barracudas are in as I play like a freak and retire subs the subs anyway.

Cool on the refits. I love the sub related stuff![:D]

I'll see if I can't get them done tonight.

Oh Ron, if I really wanted to be a pain, I'd suggest the Mackerel and Marlin [:D]

Victory point values for some ships.

Don't you think alot of these are way too low? The Flowers are worth 1 VP at the moment! Same as a plane or a PT. I think many should go up.

VP is related to Durability. The only way to make it go up is make it harder to kill.

OH, I almost forgot. Can we add another 12" Gun, since there are a few device slots open? The Arkansas used a 12"/50 Mk 7, not the 12"/50 Mk 8 built specifically for the Alaskas.

Ron, you are in luck. Because I am a sub fanboy too.... I am going to go nuts with this. Expect around 3 graphics per boat. Mwuahahahahahaha.

I thought we agreed not to add the Soviet fleet. Even so, there are no room for guns anyway....

All the graphics (no shils, Im going out of town, but Ill try and do the shils in a day or two) are in the TA Camo thread. I was wrong though Don, we need a new Cachalot refit. Even though a training boat by '43, she still received the 20mms and cut down fairwater like everybody else.

Will need a second refit for Cachalots as mentioned in other thread.

Don,

The 5/38 single mounts had half the traverse speed as the twin mounts, i still feel these should be listed as 5/25s or a new class of 5/38 with half of the accuracy.

Mike

Mike

Would this be for the Essex Class too? I assume it would be for Lex, Yorktowns, Wasp.

You don't need a fleet to have torps and mines - planes can use them as well [;)]

No the Essexs had a faster base.

The alternate 5/38 for the older carriers should have the same stats just half the accuracy. In this game accuracy is rate of fire almost totally, but in the documents i have over the inadequecy of the carrier mount 5/38s the phrase 'half as effective' comes up alot.
I say we go with it and just cut it in half.

Better than what the Japanese get; the 5/50 has a traverse speed of about the same as the carrier mount single 5/38s yet the 5/50 gets zero AAA value.

Mike

The Soviet Pacific fleet had essentially no manpower in 1945; the Soviets tried to fill out the fleet personal over the sumer but were unable to get much done.

Plus the ships should be capped at 35 experience.
