Japanese casualties at Wake Island

"Our intelligence tells us now that at least ten Japanese ships were lost in the attacks carried out by our carriers over the two days," said the liaison officer. "At the moment we can account for five enemy destroyers, including Mutsuki, Kisaragi, Mochizuki, Yunagi and Asanagi, two troop transports, Shintoku Maru and Rakuyo Maru, plus the Busan Maru, a freighter, and a couple of minelayers."
