Dude has lost almost as many ships (1110) by 5/1944 as you have (1180) in your game against Freeboy in 5/1945. You should be able to roll him back at will in the Pacific now. Any chance of a strategic map with a general outline of the Japanese Empire?

The CV casualty list indicates how the NZ invasion hurt him -- not only did he lose 100K troops, but also around 4CVs and 3 CVLs. In exhange you gave up Enterprise and Yorktown. Good decision on where to make your stand!

I can move at will the key is the number of troops I have and the number of Ap's and Lst's I have and the amount of rest need to get thoose troops back into combat. See in the freeboy game he could move from India and that casued I think the downfall of me in that game. In this game he has all of troops there so I can not really move on him at the moment. Really didn't want to make a stand in NZ he just came there when my carriers happened to be moving troops there. At the moment I am trying to move in 4 fromts. Central Pacific, Lower PI, India, and towards Northern Japan. Time and masses of troops are my problems now.

Dude, It looks like you are getting a lot more use out of your BB's than the Japanese did historically. Using them as raiders to slip in and kill allied shipping seems to be giving you some decent results.

My real question... can you provide a little insight into your retreat from Dacca? Did Zeta just have a bigger force than you anticipated? Or were you being crippled by supply problems and the inability to build and sustain advanced airfields for support?

He had more troops than me in Dacca, but he had to have big supply problems. The ships that hit me in Pagan made me mad as this follow order for Tf's works wierd with many tf's. So my surface group decided to follow another group home and left several groups to be pounded. Oh well I have one there now so no more of that kind of stuff.

Too many heavy bombers in 1944. Several hundred attacks each day starts to burn a lot of Japanese supply. Though if I had gotten control of Dacca than Chandput would of fell, providing a port for supplies.

I don't think you would have been able to get ships into there.

Hi Dude, i think that now it's the times that it's actually easier to count your surviving ships than those which you had lost. Could you put numbers how many warships do you still have?

My real question... can you provide a little insight into your retreat from Dacca? Did Zeta just have a bigger force than you anticipated? Or were you being crippled by supply problems and the inability to build and sustain advanced airfields for support?

IMHO the fact that Zeta had a level 9 fort had a major part in it.
