Japan has unleashed a devastating attack on the Allies. Is anyone who doesn't think Mogami will go all out for victory in this game? See this:

Day Air attack on TF at 39,58

Japanese aircraft
E13A1 Jake x 8

Japanese aircraft losses
E13A1 Jake: 3 damaged

Allied Ships
CL Boise

Aircraft Attacking:
4 x E13A1 Jake bombing at 2000 feet
4 x E13A1 Jake bombing at 2000 feet

These jakes made two attacks.

I haven't seen my turn yet, so I do not know what the actual damage is, but I did get reports that two BBs sunk at PH. this is not looking good. Borneo will mostly be in Japan hands in a day or two. Looks like Palambang will fall in a day also. The north coast of NG is infested with Japanese. More later, impressive Mogami.

A list of bases that troops landed at: Naga, Legaspi, vigan, bulla, Jolo, ambonia, Cagayan, Davao, Menado, Brunei, Jesselton, Miri, Pontianak, Palembang, singkawang, Kragen, Kuching, Aparri, Zamboanga, Sandakan, Taytay, San Jose, Guam, Wewak, Hollandia, biak, Admiralty Islands, Cotabato, butuan, dadjangas, and Paratroops landed at Jambi and captured it. I missed the paratroops landing in Lingayen and captureing it also. One thing is, there are no Japanese troops in Malaya? [:-][X(]

Looks like saving India, China, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, hawaii, and USA will be a full time job. No counter attacks planned yet. [:D]

Have to go, turn is back.

Hi, Paras also captured Batan Island on turn 1. I think Lexington is the first USN CV I have ever hit with a submarine torpedo. (I don't think it is hurt too bad but still it was nice)

Hi, Look at the bright side. There are only around 16 IJN submarines left west of PH. Most have moved off to other locations and can't join the "Great Lexington hunt"
The total damage currently is 49 so 1 more point and Lex will lose flight ops.

OK. So now Mogami has now officially used up all of his luck for this game. And just maybe for the entire "lunatic" series. In fact, go ahead a stick a fork in him....Mister Mogami is done.

Well, it was I-25... this is the same sub whose floatplane bombed Oregon, and which actually stalked and torpedoed an American tanker up the Columbia River and then sunk a Soviet sub on the way home. Quite a record [8D]

Hi, OK I have it. Will run as soon as I do Oleg. (first come first serve) I spent the night chomping at the bit waiting for this. Tom will get yet a different turn 2. (I don't want you three able to direct operations from other AAR so I am changing things from one game to the other. Lets see if anyone can find the changes)

ok, got turn 2, as expected, moe of the firs. See Olegs thread for about what happened, ie., he took a bunch more bases. [:D] KB pulled back at PH, wonder if it is a feint or for real? I kept everything at PH and will wait and see what happens.

Good luck Ken. If you need extra inspiration against Mogami, just imagine that he is out to take the last beer in the fridge at SF and you are defending it. If that doesn't inspire the most vicious defenses on the part of the Allies, I don't know what will! Of course, that might equally inspire Mogami too! [:D]

Last Beer? If Mogami reaches for that he will have nothing but a bloody stump. [:D]

I will not allow Mogami to grab the last beer.

Do not even kid about that Gary. [:-]

Turn 3 today, moe of the same, hde just keeps taking bases and sinking my ships around the PI. [:(]
I did manage to start some fires at Palambang. [:)] Lots of night bombing in this game. [8D]

Lex has put out the fires, patched the hull and is heading for .... what, you expected me to tell you where Mogami? ... [:-][;)]

I put this in Olegs thread and will repeat it here:

I agree Oleg, you have to experience the pace to really understand. Everyone complains about the pace of a 'regular' game. It is 12/11/41 in my game, Mogami controls most every base in Borneo, Palambang and Kragen. He controls Kendari, Ambonia, and all of the bases in Mindanao plus most of the bases along the NG coast. 5 days, it doesn't leave much time to move much. Trying now would probably get them sunk. The Dutch just stay and die. [:@] Troops in the PI, stay and die. [:@] I was considering moving a bunch from Malaya, but I don't think I will( might though). Have to balance making hinm take Malaya which would cost some time against having them in India but also having Mogami in India in January 1942. [&:]

Here is the stratigic picture for 12/11/41( giving 12/12/41 orders). compare this to your 'normal' game. [:D]

Yes yes... I-25 is a very very cool IJN sub. I did some reading on it when working on my sig.
