There are only two kinds of people that understand Marines: Marines and the enemy. Everyone else has a second-hand opinion.

Darn tootin' I am! I wanna hear some opinions here! [8D]
I'll start off, I believe in pursuing my own happiness. Does that make me "gay" or does that make me a typical person? I do good samaritan stuff too from time to time. I donate blood and money to good causes. I obey the law. However I don't make morality the center of my being. That's right...If someone put me on a beach full of machine gun fire, the first thing I would do is duck and wait for artillery to take out the machine gun nest. I'm no hero. BTW why does anyone out there think that artillery counts for most casualties in most wars anyway? Obviously the boys in the trenches aren't out there bayonetting each other. Who wants to stoop to that?
PS. did anyone else here hate "Saving Private Ryan" as much as I did? The idea of shooting prisoners seemed like a stupid topic for a movie, at least to try to justify it did.
Let the debate begin! [:'(][>:][:D]

How much did they pay the writers for that show? Whatever it was, it was too much. Gillign'a Island had more plot suspense.

Oh well, call me Wiley Coyote back to the drawing board...But ya know, a fella learns things about others as he experiments in life. I consider it a successful experiment. [:)]

All in all, I'm proud to be an American and can't see myself living anywhere else. Doesn't mean other places are bad, just that I've kind of got used to the good ole USA.
COuldn't have said it better. God bless the USA!

Well since Cap Mandrake has wisely chosen not to throw his favorite shows in there for me to make short shrift of...
I used to like Rat Patrol. I was on a bowling team in grade school that named itself Rat Patrol. [:D] We were way cool! [8D] Then there was the Black Sheep Squadron or whatever it was called.

I had a Revell Rat Patrol kit; HO guage, there was the two jeeps with their deadly MGs, the four heroes, a IVe, a IIIh, some sand dunes, some palm trees (an oasis I suppose) and some kraut infantry and a truck to blow up. The sand dunes had tank tracks going across them. Got a lot of mileage out of that kit!

Wow, never came across that one! I had to make my own rat patrol out of Roco (forget how to spell it) minitank jeeps and Matchbox plastic kit german patrol cars. Used to use our pool table for a gaming table, drove my dad nuts! [:@] [:D]
RE: OT no one talks about this hero
Do you remember the guys that ran test of Operational Art of Warfare where rat patrol units were destroying German Tank units. It was webbed on wargamer.com 6 years ago.ORIGINAL: irrelevant

You play EF2? I love that game. And WF, and RS, and.... occasionally DG.

Geez....this really spiraled didn't it guys? Funny how it was missed. Anyway, you know the drill. Take politics and those types of subjects to Vinny and Doog's place. Not in the game forums.
Locking up.

The infantry doesn't change. We're the only arm of the military where the weapon is the man himself.
