I figured we'd just assign responsibility based on our real-life locations. I'd take US, you'd get SWPAC/DEI/Phillipines, and toss the Brit to the wolf in CBI.
Otherwise, I don't have a real preference - I'd be happy to take on GH in Asia. So, if you've got a preference - speak up now or forever hold your peace...

Well we could divide up as BLurking suggests. I am happy to play the Brits, but I'll happily swap for either of the other commands too.
Obviously the Brits / Chinese usually get a lot to do early on (unlike the Central / South Pacific). But then the roles are completely reversed and the British player can switch to auto pilot unless the IJ are going for India while South / Central Pac has a lot to do and plenty of toys [:)] SW Pac / Phil and DEI has a bit of both. I am not sure that there is a really good divide and of course it depends a lot on what the IJ do.
Or we could split up the commands in a different way completely. For example we could break up the commands in to their constituant parts - RAF, USAAF, US Army, US Marines, US Navy (CVs and supporting ships), US Navy (Main Surface vessels), All Submarines, Master of Supplies (runs all supply transporting), Master of Fuel (transports all fuel) etc. etc. Then divide them up between the three of us! Not a recipe for a smoothly coordinated defence of course and would probably end in a few early war uncoordinated disasters but it's an option [:D]
We could do with a little strategy discussion of our own too [:)]

Personally, I'd like to keep the commands geographically separated, if only to avoid confusion. It's true that US/CentPAC/South PAC has less to do initially - but I'd be happy to manage the logistics, and fend off any IJN thrusts through the Center. You two would have the lion's share of the fighting, but we could always set up some smaller commands to share the load as the Japanese plans become more evident.
Further discussions may need to be offline via email. Drop me a line when you feel like it. I've got to step out for a bit, get back to y'all later...

RE: Multi players game ( 3x3 or 2x2)....
Because the Allies are all over the globe, I think we need to synchronize the order of our turn entry. Maybe England/Texas/N.Z. - that way we can follow the sun...

RE: Multi players game ( 3x3 or 2x2)....
Just a line about Russia...
as i said in the House rules suggested, i'd like to have the chance of attacking Russia, but still i haven't decided to go for it.
So, as long as i think it's a gamey tactic to attack Russia without giving to it time to redeploy, i'd suggest that one Jap unit would cross the border, so activating the reds...then it will go back. Russia won't do any offensive operation untill japan declares formally a war....so it will be just an house rule to give the allies time to redeploy and get ready.
What do you think?

I've got no problem with that, but since Hoplosternum will be in charge of that theatre I'd like to give him the final word.

No problem with me not doing anything offensive as Russia. Are you happy for me to move my units around in Russia though? Obviously no other allied unit will voluntarily enter Russia while 'peace' lasts.

Yes, the rule is studied just to let you move your units as you like ( inside your borders), just to be ready when and if the storm will come[;)]

RE: Multi players game ( 3x3 or 2x2)....
What about Russian air units before "activiation" ? In one game we had to make house rule prohibiting use of Russian air units prior to activation as otherwise they can be used for like naval recon missions ... which IRL they could've but the intel goes to the USN and RN and it should not ... hence we restricted it to nada.

Well..russian air units should stand down in training mode utill a formal war declaration is delivered...right?
RE: Multi players game ( 3x3 or 2x2)....
I wouldn't worry about the Ruskies too much. They've got pretty short legs, and can't see much beyond Soviet territorial waters anyway. And what would the IJN be doing up there anyway? Hmmmm...[;)]
