800 highly experienced fighters!?!?!

Damn.. I could only gather about 150 tonies and Tojos into one place vs Andy, and they were usually at 50-60 exp due to constant attrition, and I had to leave other areas open..

They are all in their 80s because he didn't engage them for 6 months and they kept training....but are useless agains those hordes of experienced 4Es...:-(

and above all...a 36 planes sentai with 80 exp, after one encounter with 400 4Es ends up with 65 exp at best.....

Japan proper produces about 50% of the resource requirements for Japan (including resource requirements for manpower). The daily resource need (assuming no HI increase) is slightly less than 16k and daily production is just over 8k.

Edit: China produces about 500 excess resources per day (not counting any captured bases).

[X(] 80 exp? [X(]

by gods, use them! start putting small recon squadrons in all of your airbases.. and a few turns later concentrate 5-600 of them into a single base. See 4e bombers fall from sky!

player defined upgrades = bad

For all sorts of reasons. Too many heavy bombers. Too many Tonies.

That said the replacement rate for 4E bombers isnt that good. I know in my game against Simon Prior a bad spell shot down a lot of my Fortresses and Liberators and I had to use them only over safe bases for a while.

...that changed when Lightnings showed up. Lightning = badass.

In this game there are still the old replacement rates...so to say more than 75 B-17s/month and even more for the other types...

String: i've tried to use them for 6 months! To fight 400Es escorted by higly experienced p-38s ( and i mean with pilots in their 80s!!!) i'd need 1000 of my fighters in a single base...and then? who's gonna fight the other 1,600 4Es in other theatres? That's why i'm retreating towards PI...there i'll have plenty of mutual supporting AFs, full of Eng, supplies and aviation support...and, above all...i'll be able to use in a more flexible way my defences...

And remember that now he has corsairs....

Anyway...we''ll soon see at Hanoi what's gonna happen. I have there 350 fighters ( with exp starting from 75!). A6M3s, Jacks,Tonies and Tojos...and probably i'll move in in the next days also a Nick Sentais....
Let's see how these guys will handle the allied masses....

Japan has 674 manpower. That's 6740 resources a day alone. There is also just under 9100 HI, so there's another 9100 resources used per day. That's almost 16k per day.

Won't work. A base with some Jap planes will have a light red aircraft, one with 500 fighters a bright red. [:@] May work if your opponent said he will go out and you hope he will come back and play a turn drunk [:-]

Actually, MP doesn't use resources constantly, only when MP points are required to be produced. I had a huge excess of them in pool.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 02-23/03-02 1943

Another week has passed. The Yanks have conquered Darwin, destroying what remained of the volounteers group of the 18th Mix Bde....6,000 men...6000 brave soldiers who probably have saved thousands of their comrades by an unglorius death.

Now the yankees are unloaded at Port Moresby. 2 Divisions....i guess that for tomorrow the base will be in their hands. My mines disabled some DDs and few APs..but nothing serious from what i can get from the reports.

Lunga gained level 5....so 4Es will soon destroy everything in their range. Bouganvilla has already been evacuated. Shortland has only one little base force. Rabaul will be emptied in the next 3 days. Then Kavieng, Wewak etc...

He put his dark feet in Malaya: Georgetown captured...soon my oil/res centers will be destroyed. I've already shut down most of my industry and i'm trying to save everything for the last great battle!

He did not engage Hanoi[:(]...as always, when he sees enough Jap forces he goes away-_-''...he's using his heaviests in Burma to attack my troops that are defending the Bankok's border....[>:]

In China we took another smashing victory! Lanchow fell with 100,000 chinese[;)]...now we're moving to the next stronghold: Sining!

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 03/03/43

My mines are doing a fair job, but nothing that can stop the allied steamroller!
Now the Tommies are spreading like a mortal desease in Malaya and today they started to invade Sumatra.
At PM they landed a Huge force that surely will conquer the base easily, with the support of 4 BBs, several CAs and hundreds of 4Es that level the place.

I'm sorry Gen but I really do think this tactic of retreat will lead to an early collapse.

I hope it doesn't but I think the steamroller is moving and it won't be stopped now [:(]

Best of luck with it though [:)]

I'm starting to think you( and those who have been telling me the same in the last days) are right speedy. However now it's too late for going back. Let's see if i can hurt him somehow in the next weeks....

I think ur strategy is sound, let him get over confident and then go for a decisive battle of your choice. The question is where?
