The hats on one of the guys in the background and the guy on the bridgewing sorta said French to me. Looked like it was fairly low to water for 01 deck so suspected destroyer type rather than cruiser. The gun looked too big to be a 25mm so I guessed 37mm. Checked against specs for Le Triomphant which matched as did triple torpedo tube mount. Confirmed when I noticed the boat davits (empty) up by the funnel.

C'est Le Triomphant, je croix.

That is the first frigging ship I checked after the Apollos just to make sure! The Triomphant does not have plane handling cranes and I'm sure the TTs were centreline...gonna check this out further. Hmmm..[8D]

9 TT tubes: 3 centerline and 3 each Port and Starboard on 01 deck as pictured. Centerline tubes aft.

I'm just glad I could stump you guys for a while. Definately speaks to the level of difficulty to which I'm going to have to offer. I kinda like the "view from which ship" idea. Definately harder than the profiles I gave y'all before.

Parker, where's my turn!

(* yes, Olie and Dave, I'm working on yours now! *)
