I looked at your save. It is impossible to say for sure what these 18k casualties came from, but after progressing a turn I found that Allied got another 8 allied losses after logistics, most of which were trucks. Out of 8K lost men only 100men were killed and the rest were disablement.
All of this let me think that these losses are caused by logistic attrition. Number of lost freights in the depot can generate such disablement.
Well I did lose almost 17,000 vehicles last turn (see below). Which itself seems a bit odd as in the previous 18 turns I lost an average of only 5000 vehicles per turn. Admittedly it is Italy and it is light mud, but still the majority of my units were within 5 hexes of their supply source at the beginning of my turn. I certainly don't remember anything like this happening in any of my previous games where I had 18,000 casualties just from driving trucks. And in many of those cases I had far more units much further from their supply and in worse weather. Surely this must be a bug. Is it really possible that of the 112,000 casualties I have taken from the beginning of the game (remember the Allies start with 25,000 casualties) 15% of them were caused on 1 turn from driving trucks.
Also if they are only disabled does this mean that if/when they come back I get the VPs back?
