Bitter Emperor, a destroyer attached to the manually controled Strike Force 1 fleet, is low on fuel (175/400). It’s waiting for the fuel tanker attached to the fleet. There are many problems with this situation:
- Bitter Emperor is currently right beside the Aar 2 mining station, as is the rest of Strike Force 1, where there’s plenty of fuel to fill the ship’s tanks (see first screenshot below).
- The tanker, as it often happens, is far away from the ship (see second screenshot below).
- The game knows that Bitter Emperor should refuel at the nearby Aar 2 mining station, as the “Repair and Refuel” button tooltip shows (see third screenshot below).
Bitter Emperor is right beside the Aar 2 mining station, which has plenty of fuel to fill its tanks (the other ships around the station, except the freighter, are also attached to Strike Force 1, and their tanks are already full).
The tanker is far away:
What’s worst, is that the game “knows” that Bitter Emperor should refuel at the Aar 2 mining station, as demonstrated by the "Refuel and Repair" button’s tooltip:
The caslon at the station is mostly reserved, except for 21 units of caslon (can’t post another screenshot). But that doesn’t seem to matter: if I click on the "Refuel and Repair" button, Bitter Emperor fill its tanks almost instantaneously. Which is, from my perspective, what should happen in this case when I click on the button.
But the question is: why doesn’t the game do the same thing by itself, instead of having the ship wait for a far away tanker?
