Must every game be overly complicated and complex to the point that it's not really much fun to play? I don't consider having some "basic" games to be a problem. The Avalon Hill board wargames I played back in the 1970s would be considered "way too basic" nowadays. I have withnessed over the years the advances in computer wargaming with more and more detail, as demanded by players, that add more and more realism and historical accuracy, for sure, but I'd say the "fun factor" has been sucked out of such games.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing more of those old board wargames adapted to the computer. They were fun to play, over and over and over again with different strategies. Games, for fun. They really are not a problem.
