RE: OT - Blue Water Navy

<t> I have this game and have preordered the Pacific one due this year.<br/>
Have a look on you tube and see the game being played to help you make a decision about purchasing. I find it simple to play, with cards throwing random events you can trigger into the mix to catch your opponent off guard ...

RE: Just Purchased Uncommon Valor

I run the game on a laptop using Vista home edition without any issues and WITPAE. Laptop is a few years old, the wife got it free with a mobile phone so the specs are not great. I really enjoyed UV and wish the full game scenario was built into Admirals Edition.

RE: Very very OT

I believe it's "Dirty Old Town" quite a few versions around, The Dubliners and the Pogues probably the best known.

RE: Can't find the tutorial mentioned in the manual.

Will the tutorial be in the form of a patch with it's own purpose built scenario to role play situations as in WITP. I cannot imagine a pdf file being much use to a complete novice and it would be a real shame to let people be put off by the complexity of AE.

<t> I was wondering if the pbem system could be improved, I think you should be able to input the email address of the recipient and just press send. Likewise on the recieving end just one click to import the turn.<br/>

RE: Uncommon Valor vs War in the Pacific

<t> I would have to agree with Ike99 on this, I too own both. The only draw back of UV being the fact that once you experience the added features of WITP you wish you had them in UV.<br/>
<br/>
Which game I would recommend if really pushed would be WITP, with UV you miss the extra control. UV is a ...

<r> Hi folks just got my disc after downloading and running the game for 2 days with no problem. RE: Allow myself to introduce myself

Everybody is right in what they say it is rather complex but heres a thought you could consider, if you like the pbem in games the time issue can be less off putting. Play against someone who plays just a few turns a week and fit your game around your lifestyle.

Computer Controlled Areas

<t> I am more adept at the smaller scale of Uncommon Valor and have begun to try my hand at WITP.<br/>

I like to play the full war scenario but limit myself to control of one area. I usually try the Australia, New Guinea and Coral Sea area to minic my UV play or the West Coast out to Wake ...

RE: Surface Combat

<t> I managed to get surface action against a carrier battle group, it was busy sinking 3 of my carriers. I vectored about 5 surface groups to the area around the task force and managed 1 shell hit on a carrier by my battleship. This was during the Guadalcanal scenario where they seemed to sit in ...
