RE: Opponent wanted

<t> Hi John<br/>
<br/>
I prefer to try and keep it reasonably realistic so I will not put loads of squadrons on airfields packed full of AA guns<br/>
<br/>
I play historically so would not normally move Romanian squadrons out of Romania etc. If though you start doing non historical deployments ...

Opponent wanted

Have been playing a long running game for about 3 years and still in May 1944. I have the capacity to play another but only if you have the stamina for a long game. Would prefer to play Axis but willing to swap if necessary. Full long 1943 scenario game.

RE: another run on BoB

<t> Looking at this thread it looks as it the Fiat G.50bis has 4 x 12.7 mg.<br/>
<br/>
All the reference books and diagrams I have ever seen seem to show it as having on 2 x 12.7mm mgs, as per the CR42, MC200 and Re2000. I even have a feeling the MC202 may have had only this armament in the very ...

Slow running game opponent wanted

<t> I would like an opponent to play a slow running game 1 - 2 turns a week. I used to have the original TOAW and have just started this again, but am not very good. I have a lot of commitments - work, children, helping to run a rugby team, local politics and also a long running game I am playing ...

RE: Who wants to fly this

If you want a fighter even slower than the normal Roc, try the thrid prototype which was fitted with twin floats!

RE: Update info

<t> Looking at your list of new / back in aircraft, you include the SAI 207. I believe that 13 pre-production aitcraft were produced. the production order for it (2,000 machines) was superceeded by one for 3,000 SAI 403 but tooling has only just reached the initial stages when the armistice ...

<t> If I might add to the Spitofre debate...<br/>

Spitfire VIII enetered service in the Med in Aug 43 with 145 squadron in Italy. Most VIIIs went to the far east but 253 Sq of the Balkan Air force also used it.<br/>

RE: Who wants to fly this

<t> Hard<br/>
<br/>
I think you may be wrong. That aircraft is Blacburn Roc which is a turret fighter version of the Blackburn Skua - a sort of naval rival to the Boulton Paul Defiant, but a lot slower.<br/>
<br/>
I think the first kill might have been by a Blackburn Skua, which was primarily a ...

RE: Important! About the timeline and campaign start dates in Bombing the Reich

<t> I have a lot of sympathy with the various requests for game variants, but on the other hand I do like the game in its current formats. What is missing is the two way nature of the air war which I guess would be very hard to model. By 1943 the German air war in the West was much more defensive in ...
