RE: Wide screen LCD monitor?

I run the game on a 27" Sharp LCD. I run at 1024x768 though because I'm sitting a couple of feet from it. Nothing like sitting on the sofa and smashing through enemy lines. [:D]

Question(s) from potential buyer

<t> Hi ... I've played WitP a little bit. It's frankly a bit huge for me. But WPO sounds better with the lack of all those planes. Like the naval focus too. I've read through the forum to soak up some info. <br/>
<br/>
But some questions before I pull the Christmas purchase trigger:<br/>
- Does ...

RE: Quick Questions

<t> Thanks guys,<br/>
<br/>
The Hvy Bn makes sense. Hans, there is no line unit in that Bn, there's a PanzerJaeger, a Heavy MG, and a Mortar unit so it's all support.<br/>

As for the movement issue, Arjuna. That route comes up at the beginning of Tanks at Platamon. It's the route the AI ...

Book for WitP fans

<r> I haven't touched WitP in a looong while (would need a good 6 month leave from work and family to really dig into it). But I saw this today at the bookstore and wondered if anyone has read it.<br/>
<br/>
I read bits of the first chapter and it seemed really interesting.<br/>

RE: Quick Questions

<r> Ok, 2nd question .. when fighting at Maleme, one of my units (IV Hvy Bn) could not probe or assault. A number of the order buttons were blanked out. Why would this be? Adding to my confusion is that this unit is lead by an historically adept commander. Ideas?<br/>

Quick Questions

<r> Hi all,<br/>
<br/>
I'm progressing through the "easy" scenarios before tacking Tutorial #2. I've achieved decisive victories at Platamon and at Maleme as the Germans. Though I've encountered some situations that I wondered if someone could explain. I've got screenshots so please bear with me ...

RE: Got my ticket to Greece!

<t> Thanks for the tips. I've found Grotius' AAR of the scenario. He seems to have had better luck than I with that ambush unit in the woods. Grotius seems to have pushed it aside come dawn with his Inf.<br/>
<br/>
In my last couple of runs, that unit has been a bug-bear ... withstanding a lot of ...

RE: Got my ticket to Greece!

<t> Thanks for the welcome ... I've bloodied my first Germans in the tutorial (which is excellent by the way!).<br/>
<br/>
I've taken its advice and begun playing some of the "simpler" scenarios. I've played Sarantaporon: Day Battle a couple of times ... I've completed it only one time only ...

Got my ticket to Greece!

<t> Hi all,<br/>
<br/>
Just wanted to say hi. I played the demo for HTTR (I think) a long while ago. Finally got an afternoon to read the Wargamer today and read the review and AAR there. I'm sold!<br/>
<br/>
Downloading at the moment ... can't wait to dive in! Bulge on the way too?! You've got ...

Feeling Dizzy

<t> Whoa [X(] ... just got the game ... read the manual, tutorial, and have done some dry runs to get used to the interface. Definitely feeling dizzy. So much to digest. <br/>
<br/>
I've played EU and EUII a lot and while similar, CoG has such rich historical detail. I love the month turns and the ...
