RE: Numerious CTD

They are sporadic, at best. I think a lot of times, not all, I'm trying to grab an air unit that is on top of a ground unit.

RE: Defending Victory Locations

Glad to know I'm not the only one who struggles with wargames even if this is a Beer and Pretzel game. It's dang good fun.

RE: Wishlist

<t> I've been playing a lot of OB and PG3SE lately. I'm trying to pick out the things I like and dislike.<br/>
<br/>
1) Clicking on a specific unit and moving it is challenging, sometimes. Sometimes the unit does something you didn't want it to do. If you don't expose a new enemy unit you can just ...

Defending Victory Locations

<t> I leave a unit in every victory location. It makes for a tight game at the end, because you've left a lot of units behind. But, there is no way one of the nations left crucial cities undefended during the war. How does everybody divide their defender units up (i.e. infantry or AT in each city ...

RE: Engineers

I too am having this difficulty. The game, through the mouse, is clicking too quickly. I am using a logitech 400 or 410 (very basic) with the latest drivers and this is the only game engine that this occurs in.

RE: Wishlist

<t> 1) Allow us to rename units. I really find it hard to empathize with the Nebelwerfer unit. <br/>
2) Put a circle under a unit that is getting low on fuel or ammo.<br/>
3) I'm not sure what the Ogre is capable of, but I have a hard time selecting units and I'm constantly scrolling up, down to ...

RE: German Operation Barbarossa Campaign Scenario 4

<t> Hey brian, danke shern (sp?), we are about the same place in the game and I was looking for an AAR to this scenario. Really, sorry to hear about you dog, and oh, I guess your fruenden. Any person who would euthanize a dog out of spite or hate (if that's why she did it) is a female dog in heat ...

Deployment

<t> I have forgotten to move units during the deployment phase, which causes you to lose a turn in the battle. I've played PG too much. In Pg I placed all of my units out then hit the end deployment button. In OB you can put your recon vehicle out and move around then decide what units are good for ...

RE: Recruit vs. Improve

<t> Actually, I still have PG3 and PeGWW2 on my hard drive and I love them. I think you may be right about not pushing hard enough for the victory positions. When I push hard I find that a lot of my units are too spread out or get killed due to not refitting them. But, back to the question, in the ...

Recruit vs. Improve

<t> I have to admit I'm losing a lot of games to the turn counter. By the way I'm playing the first campaign on easiest. I noticed that I was able to buy one very nice unit and improve about 3 or 4 core units in between scenarios. But, again, I'm not making to the end before the victory counter ...

Turns for Victory

Can we extend the number of turns to reach a victory? Either they're very tight on the number of turns before complete failure or I suck. I'm playing on the easiest and have a hard time reaching the goals unless I play the map about three times and then move and fight extremely efficiently.

Core Army

First off, very nice game, I like the PeG mechanics. How large of a core army can I have? Do I only get core units in the recruitment screen of the battle?

Contour lines

Is it too late to add contour lines to more easily evaluate the terrain. Right-click holding is getting pretty tedious. Unfortunately, I have no modding skills to speak of.

RE: Close Assault - how is it done?

<t> Ok, I keep trying Boot Camp #4 and I'm unable to pass it on easy. I keep trying to let the T34's pass my first positions. They see the squad in the second house on their right, they stop and shoot them to death. The panzers are not quite into the town yet, so dismounting my other 2 squads would ...

Battle Playback?

<t> Hey, guys, great game!<br/>
<br/>
I always thought it would be cool feature to be able to watch the entire battle start to finish after the game is over, to watch it as a war movie. I skimmed the manual, but didn't find a topic for it. Is this feature already in the game and I'm missing it? If ...

RE: Eventually!!

<t> I say leave the sounds and skins to the modders. Erik you just keep improving the mechanics of the game. For CM the modders have done INCREDIBLE jobs with sounds and skins. And, as you say, the core game should be left alone so that the lower end computers can play and we, the gamers, have an ...
