RE: who's this?

Swearing at the beginning of a post might be taken as disrespectful by some...or maybe just hypocritical.

RE: Anyone seen the movie "Australia?"

For a movie (PBS Masterpiece&nbsp;Theatre)&nbsp;about Australia in the war, A Town Like Alice. I'ts based on a Nevil Shute novel, and more about prisoners of war and a love story, but I thought it was really well done.

Invisible Armies

PBEM, standard scenario, forget the patch...Turn Nine....

Guam capitulated and was occupied by the Japanese...but I didn't invade it?!? Yes, Tinian and Saipan have base forces on them, but I didn't attack.

Anyone else see isolated islands simply surrender?

RE: Submarine placement?

<t> In a PBEM,&nbsp; the AI is routing my ships around suspected subs: I set a straight line course of 8 hexes, the AI routes me around a bend of 12 hexes. I asked my opponent if he had a sub in this area and he confirmed it. I never received an Operations&nbsp;report or sighting of a sub, and there ...

<t> No one has mentioned the Flak Gap in any of the previous postings.&nbsp;Quoting Yamato hugger on this subject from a post of 7/26/07, "Between 6 and 9 is the infamous "flak gap". It isn’t that there is no flak, it just it’s too high for the light guns, and too low for the big ones. This being in ...

RE: CS vs AV tactics

The planes on a Japanese AV fly any time I give them a mission at sea (not just when they are docked), just like the CS, yes? The reason I ask is that when I click on an AV TF it doesn't show the search radius of the planes even though I have that option selected.

Static Unit Moves!?!

<t> I ordered the 20th Eng. Rgt. to move toward Wuchow from Canton to extend my Zone of Control. For some inexplicable reason, the Canton Base Force followed it even though it is a Static unit. I did not set the Follow unit command. (PBEM by the way.)<br/>

<r> I started out playing a PBEM (as Japanese), but it only lasted a few turns. Now I'm playing both sides/H2H. When I get stumped, I send Ops, Combat&nbsp;and Asigint Reports to my brother or cousin to reposition TFs, LCUs, and air units. The sigint is usually a little meatier with hints to ...
