Bug that needs squishing

<t> There is a bug in the game that occurs sometimes on errors, at least on 2-base errors by the pitcher. If there is a runner on third he scores but remains on third and can score again! I have seen this happen at least twice in the draft league I am now playing.<br/>
<br/>
I hope this bug can be ...

RE: Unearned Run Question

Were there two outs when the runner reached on the error? If so all runs scored after that would be unearned since errorless play would have ended the inning.

RE: Campaign Questions

<t> Though the Luftwaffe player cannot start out picking which units are assigned to a raid, once a raid is generated the assigned units can be changed. I can't recall exactly how at the moment, but it is in the manual. It involves changing the assigned gruppen once the computer has drawn up an ...

RE: genre

<t> To go into a little bit more detail:<br/>
<br/>
For the "bomber" player it is turn-based - missions are plotted and then you watch them unfold. If you see a disaster developing too bad - you are committed.<br/>
<br/>
For the defending player there is first an administrative phase where ...

How do I aim this thing?

<r> Having great fun learning the campaign from the Lufwaffe side, plotting raids then riding along in a bomber. But on the He 111 I'm not sure how to aim the lower gun. Any suggestions?<br/>

Game Options?

<t> Is it possible to command either side and just watch the air battles like a movie? In other words, could I command the RAF and watch the action when a battle occurs, or would I have to pilot a plane?<br/>
<br/>
I SUCK as a pilot and doubt I could take the time to learn to fly without being ...

Game-end glitch

<t> After playing over 1,000 games I had the first game end on a wild pitch. But after the winning run scored the game did not end - the pitcher had to retire the batter at the plate before the game wrapped up. The losing pitcher was credited with a complete inning pitched. This does not happen if ...

RE: Schedule problem

Thanks for the lead to the OOTP schedules. At the start of the 1905 season I tried to import the retrosheet schedule but it did not work. The OOTP schedule imported properly, and now I'm off to the first 154-game season!

RE: Pitcher Season vs. Teams

On the pitchers "card" select the "game log" button over on the left. You can see the opponent in each game and how your guy did. I do not know of anywhere that it is summarized.

RE: MLB's Current Alignment -- Why?

<t> The reason for the 16-14 split is so that "inter-league" play can be scheduled in blocks. If both leagues had 15 teams one series would always have to be an inter-league series. This would not bother me, but the MLB bigwigs were against it. With both leagues having an even number of teams ...

Schedule problem

<t> I started a draft league using real players and schedules in 1901. I have played through the first 3 seasons, each of 140 games. After finishing up August of 1904 I finally realized that the "actual" schedule is still 140 games, when it should have increased to 154 games. The schedule file in ...

Strange glitch

<t> In a game I just played, in a draft league in its 4th year (1904), my team had runners at 2nd and third when the left fielder dropped a fly ball. Both runners scored as the batter went to 2nd - but the runner on 3rd was still there! He scored, but was still shown on 3rd base. When another batter ...

RE: What's left to add to Pure Sim?

<t> How about throwing errors on steals or throws from the outfield? <br/>
<br/>
And of course the option to double steal would be great.<br/>
<br/>
Note - high pop ups are not ALWAYS caught, I've seen at least one get dropped. And at long last I even saw a runner steal second on the hit-and-run ...

RE: What was your BEST moment in a managed game?

<t> In a 1901 draft league using real players and schedules my Reds had a wild game against the Phillies. Now, in 1901 there are some great pitchers around, but the staffs are very thin - the back end of the bullpens are literally bush-leaguers. One day my great starter, Vic Willis, got KO'd early ...

"River" units (?)

<t> I am just learning with the demo, and I ordered construction of a few "River" ironclads and some "River" transports in Ohio and Illinois. Now, I know you can't choose exactly where to build units, but these appeared at Cleveland and Chicago - on the Great Lakes! Is there any way to prevent this ...

RE: Disappearing Generals?

<t> If they are still in the game you can find them by pressing F1 and sorting the list of units - pick generals, which is the topmost selection on the left - and all your generals will be listed. The fellows location will be listed, and if you click on the star in the upper right of his box the map ...

Fotification level

<t> I am just learning the game with the demo and I find it difficult to tell how well units are entrenched. There is a very tiny icon on the top of a unit that shows it is entrenched and the manual shows different symbols for different levels - but on screen I can see no difference as it is REALLY ...

RE: Anyone notice?

<t> I have noticed both of these "problems." The batter's average is updated in the lineup screen with each plate appearance but not on the face card. A minor annoyance. The missing animated baseball can sometimes be a problem - many times I have decide to send a runner to the plate or not without ...

Scoring error

<t> In a game I recently played, my starter, Bob Turley, was pulled with the score tied at 1 and the bases loaded in the 7th inning. Roy Face entered and promptly tossed up a 3-run triple. I lost the game 4-3 and Face was tagged with the loss. <br/>
Since all the runners who scored reached while ...
