I think any communication regarding further "release dates" would be wrong. The game is too far away from completion to make a serious guessing.

RE: A new day will dawn

<t> My point vs. an AI is that i never saw an AI that is really (without cheating) competetive. And there are games with not so bad performances (in my eyes Total war, CIV III and IV). For example Panzer General I like to play, but the only way to make a "Advanced Game Level" was to give the AI ...

RE: When?

If it will be released (maybe the year after David Gerrolds fifth book of the Chtorr-Series that should come out in "octobre", since 1993 [;)] ), I will buy it anyway. Promise. And in the meantime the working staff has to stand vs. my growing depression.

RE: AI vs Rules

And there has to be a "seperate AI" for each permutation of important Options:
1. Oil (see example above)
2. Japanese compulsatory peace
3. Night Air Missions
4. AMPH Rules
etc.

RE: AI vs Rules

<t> I can hardly imagine an AI that is competitive. For example:<br/>
<br/>
In my last game, the Russian player suddenly concentrated two white circle and two other TAC4 around Dneprpetrowsk. In this time I had five Oil Ressources.<br/>
So this was of course a very crucial situation. In this ...

RE: On the mnp scale and game balance

<t> IMO to use Argus, Eagle, Hermes as Escort Carriers in the North Atlantic is the right decision as long as the Sunderland from Bermuda or the ASW Carriers are not available. <t> Vs. a full scale german attak on poland (not often seen from experienced players) in SO39 nowadays I prefer to put all units arround the cities (no units in the cities or only the div to secure a retreat hex or a supply base vs. ZOCs). RE: AI for MWiF - USSR

<t> An other aspect is that breaking the pact is not leading automatically into a DOW (Russia to Germany)! I would suggest three "escalation levels" for the AI:<br/>
<br/>
1. Trying to break the pact is always (almost always) the right thing. Germany looses the ressources, russia gain the ...

<t> @ Morgil a few annotations to FoF (if we play it the right way!):<br/>
1. The shipyard give you 1 BP Bonus for the first ship only. One of us said that the german shipyard is the best allied unit, because germany pumps BP into ships, and that may be not good.<br/>
2. In our second FoF Game we ...

<t> I would like to have an AI because I want to test some new strategies, although i don't think, that this AI and furthermore any AI can compete with a human opponent. RE: What Do You Think Needs to be in World In Flames PC Game

<t> An idea for MWIF Product 2:<br/>
A "Center for Strategic Studies" Form, activated per button or so. In the board game before important decisions you sometimes count ARM or FTR in some parts of the front. The Computer is good in counting, so it would be an advantage of a Computer WIF to have ...
