My whole strategy was set to defend the UK and bring the russian in. It did not work. The russians can´t resist<br/>
against the whole german army, so i hope you enjoyed the AAR, since you won´t get many more reports here [;)]

I´ll answer the first question.<br/>

The german player decided to attack fast as possible (before the historical date)<br/>
At the time he started in November 1939 the Maginot line is his only option to attack.<br/>

I like it a lot too! I've beaten the North Africa scenario..but now I'm not sure what to continue with...everything seems too daunting.

Man, I wish there was an AI version of the 1939 scenario. None of my friends have the game yet..

RE: Europe 1939 turns 3-7

What exactly is the casualty ratio? It seems a little unrealistic that the Germans could smash through the Maginot line like that...though, that may be one of the advantages of attacking early; the West is not yet prepared for fighting.

RE: Contemplating Purchase... ActionCards?

Could a scenario have one side with action cards(meant as human) and one side without, but with events?(AI)

Also, are scenarios set with cards actually unplayable solo, or do they simply not work very well? Couldn't the AI do well without using any cards?

I hope it really is imminent..I'd hate for another game I'm looking forward to to have to come out at the end of October, like Battalion wars 2 and Panzer Tactics DS!

RE: Question about r&d

It seems to me that whatever nation you research tanks/assault with, you can only train with that nation.

As Germany i got assault/tanks, but only Germany could make them. Austria and Italy simply couldn't.

RE: Morale from recapturing cities?

<t> Bump. If it just works normal at recapturing, wouldn't both sides lose morale as cities are traded back and forth?'<br/>
<br/>
Example: Russia takes Krakow(10) from Austria. Austria loses 10 morale. Russia gains 5.<br/>
Austria takes it back and gains 5, russia loses 10.<br/>
Both have a net ...

Morale from recapturing cities?

Now, I know when you capture a city, you gain half it's morale value and your enemy loses the full value, but what if that enemy recaptures that city? Do you lose morale and they gain half?

The reinforcements at-start are all pre-assigned to various cities. After that reinfs can pretty much appear anywhere within that nation.

Ah, OK. Thanks for clearing that up.

Well if you know where they came on WTF are you asking about it??!![8|]

I know where they came in, yes, but I don't know WHY they went there. I'd like to know what determines where they deploy.

IIRC new units scheduled for deployment in the game are deployed in various locations as pre-scheduled, but any you buy yourself are deplyed in the capital of the appropriate country to start - you don't get any input.

Very impressed, but need help

<t> I am very pleased by the game. The AI is strong, you quickly understand the flow of the game, etc.<br/>
<br/>
However, it seems a bit too difficult. HQ activation points are quite expensive, and yet only allow you to move one hex into enemy territory. Hardly an "offensive". Even with the game ...
