RE: Bombardment Question

I've seen Boimbardment TF's do both, on both settings; Even when given instructions to retire they have remained and bombarded for another day. Though that may have ben altered in one of the update patches. It has been awhile since I have seen this happen.

<t> I've seen that too. I attributed it in alot of cases to them being on a base with a different parent command. SWPAC unit in a CincPac base etc. Sometimes it's a bad leader, or malaria like GBL said. Or heavy losses to thier pals in the unit. Range to the Overall HQ sometimes too. Different thing...

A very large number of troops historically held Bataan. They were ordered to surrender. (By what General?) - Your seeing what would happen if they hadn't made that dreadful decision.

<t> Ok, CVE's. Historical use was to follow just inside ferry range so they could replenish CV TF's. Or to meet them at a suitable port location and restock the airframes and pilots lost. Commonly reffered to as Truck carriers. <br/> So, you got those r Squadrons. There's quite a few uses for them; ...

RE: Allied A/C production question

The fact that Allies have no control over what they produce weakens the game IMO. In Pacwar it let Allies control some of the production, at least airframes. It's a great game, but I really wonder why they opted to exclude the Allied player from controlling some parts of production choices.

RE: Choice of target for naval attack

It seems that my air units would rather bomb a base unit or construction unit even when I want them to hit Combat units. If stacked in a hex with multiple units, they seem to prefer the Base forces, or Construction units most of the time. I'd estimate something near 60-70% of the time.
