Maybe some of the people on this forum might not react to well to your mentioning this movie.

It does not really present historical facts. You might just as well believe in Santa Claus...

Now its October 42 and practically all fighters, exept the F4F-3 and F4F-4 are depleted, my commonwealth squadrons are completly out of planes. Wirrways are left but I'd ...

<t> If my infantry division at PM would get cut of by some squads of your paratroopers I would be pretty unhappy if I where your opponent. On the other hand, if it is July 1942 and you still hold Lae something must have gone wrong on the Jap side. It depends on how many troops he has in PM, a base ...

RE: Question about CV's on retirement allowed

<r> It is clear, CV task forces move first, bomb then. The question is, would you want your task force to retire after the am phase? In hostile waters you would not set your TF to port/airfield attack only, there is always the risk of a hostile TF (surface combat or air combat) showing up, am I ...

<r> It is too bad that the only Japanese beer I have come across, in a small New York supermarket when I grew tried of Budwiser, came in cans. <r> The Battle of the Philippine Sea is a good argument, the same thing could be said about allied fire control, it was improved significantly during the war.
